As I was playing Axis and Allies Miniatures at Game Empire today, I was randomly thinking about jump gates and trade lane rings. Don't ask me why that was more important than focusing on my Panthers instapwning T-34's, but I just was.
Have they been mentioned before in the Gallic lore? Without Valhalla, the Gallics would have had no way of discovering this sort of technology. I know of the Privas cluster, but that doesn't really justify mass acceleration and teleportation technology.
So tell me if I overlooked anything like a putz or perhaps am in fact noticing a part of missing data. Perhaps this will be explained in 4.86? Or is Gallia just that technologically advanced?
"THE HULL HAS BEEN BREACHED AND THESCIENCEIS LEAKING OUT!"
Junkers, which originated in gallia, smuggled bits and pieces of trade lane and jump gate equipment into the house over the course of several centuries. The technology was reverse engineered in Gallia and then rebuilt by the house for its own transportation purposes.

Although it's written law, I it find hard to believe, seeing as any other house could have done the same by now without relying on Ageira every time they need new lanes/gates. Once upon a time, the houses were *even*.
Then again, lot's of things are a bit messed up, like battleships running on oil =/

Currently, Ageira lane/gate parts are stored and shipped in secure containers which are supposedly impossible to crack into, so even if stolen they cant be accessed. However, my guess is that it wasnt always like that, and earlier on Ageira security may have been a bit more lax - one or two transports of parts go missing and that's all the Junkers and Gallia would need to start up their own lane/gate research.
The other houses didnt need to steal that technology at the time, they were already trading their own unique developments for it. Gallia, wanting to remain hidden, couldnt simply come out and start trading something with Ageira for access to the goods, so they did it the illegal way.
Nowdays, there's no way the houses could steal that tech due to the greatly improved security systems used by Ageira.
As for "battleships running on oil" - they arent simply using combustion technology and dumping burning oil into space to use as propellant. The Oil is used in internal reactors which produce raw energy to feed Ion engines or similar propulsion tech, same as anyone else in sirius. The houses and other sirian groups simply use nuclear fusion reactors to provide the energy for the engines, rather than the much weaker combustion systems.
Of course, for all we know, gallic oil could be some kind of radioactive nonsense that provides more energy than a sun when burned.
While I don't have the direct quote on hand Igiss has stated that Gallia's use of oil is purely terrestrial, their spaceships employ the same propulsion methods and fuel as the rest of Sirius. Where they get their fuel from, and why H-Fuel cannot be sold there both fall under the same mystery umbrella as... Well... Pretty much everything about Gallia.
In the meantime enjoy your tradelanes, H fuel, culturally invisible Junkers, massiv... Well. You get the idea.
Sometimes we just need to shrug and wink I suppose.
Gallia always Puzzle me, while trade lanes and gate require years to be build in ''central'' Sirius (look there is even space station for them) They seem to build them at an infamous rate. And with 4.86 they will have the most massive trade system build by their own.
Perhaps that been such calm place that they have nothing else to do then building their lane and gate, while the rest of Sirius are fighting in some kind of confrontation at the moment.

You know the Kingdom of Gallia is at war... right?

Gallia has been around for 700 some-odd years, it didnt just pop into existence overnight.
