Hi folks, i'm working on a char's story and i need advice on some things.
1) My char was stranded somewhere (i'm currently working it out where exactly) and the only food he had
in his cargo was alien organisms. The question is what will happen if a human EATS these. The wiki says
that they aren't poisenous and these are used as food for other lifeforms. Well if you eat these, is it like
eating dogfood? Will you become in the worst case only diarrhea? Or simply nothing will happen?
Does anyone know if someone tested these on humans, Cryer for example? And IF a human want to eat
these, how are the organisms being transported? On secure sealed canisters? If yes, can you somehow
break these?
2) Everyone noticed that cyber-equipment weared by almost every NPC from the eyes to the ears.
My question here is: Are these REAL cyber-equipment? I mean are these surgical implants in someone's skull,
or can they putted on and off like glasses? If they are implanted, WHO implants these? Cryer exclusively
in lawful space and Junkers (and/or everyone else who has the technology) in unlawful space?
I assume everyone can do it, since outcasts and other unlawfuls have them too.
1) The Alien Organisms are microscopic creatures. A human couldn't eat them. Even if a human could somehow form them into food they certainly wouldn't sustain him.
2) The equipment is used to assist in targeting and receiving general information about the ship I believe. Effectively a Heads-Up Display. Yes, you can take it on and off as it isn't a surgical implant. Everyone has access to them. Obviously the richer you are, the better version of the equipment you can get. For instance, the LN probably have superior versions to the Rogues.
However there are RP's were people have similar technology surgically implanted.
As for 1 I have no idea. Depends on just what kind of Alien Organisms you eat. There's more than one kind. I'm sure somewhere there's one that tastes like KFC and is harmless. They'd be moved in sealed but not secure vats to stop them spoiling. Sort of like long-life milk.
As for 2 they're like power level scouters in Dragonball.:)
Ok...i have to rethink the part with the organisms. My first idea was making a char who crash-landed
somewhere. During his waiting for help, he treated his wounded head all by himself armed only with a
sewing kit, some knifes and 1-2 mirrors and that without food.
i think that eating alien organisms would be like spooning bacteria into your mouth.... vomiting diarrhoea and coughing up blood, followed by death and rapid loss of breathing privileges.
those things you can see are not inmplanted... 7 of 9 had some things stuck to her face, but if you have an implant, its a really good idea to close the skin over it, so that you dont get nasty infections
I think alien organisms could be anything you want them to be. They dont all have to be the same life form, as far as I know. Someone might say they are some edible fungus and that he collected them on some planet, another one might say those are some super-agressive virus that he is researching or using to make a bio-weapon, or another one may say they are some bacteria he extracted from a dead nomad ship.
Just use your imagination and give them the properties that you want. They dont all have to be the same.

Alien organisms are microscopic, they should be called micro organisms. You can't eat them.
Cryer has tested them on humans but the results are classified.

Cabulb, you're a genius! Thanks for the idea.
Now i wrote a pre-info card for that freak:
Cletus Roscoe Pubert born on Planet Denver at July 8th, 748 A.S. He is violent, dangerous
and gets provoked easily. Since after an accident at Atka he had been put into artificial
coma lasting for a few years. He woke up without the doctors noticing him and he realized
that they used him as a guinea pig for testing new drugs. Feeling betrayed and used as
human garbage, he ran amok butchering his way towards the docking bay in order to steal a
ship to set out for his new life.
After having visited several Freeports and Junker bases he recovered from those
experiments through medical operations by inserting some surgical implants. But not
without side effects. Since then he believes to be only alive if he suffers pain from he
biting his tongue.
He gave himself the callsign Hickey, because he had a strange hiccup during his rampage
at Atka.
The only part which bothers me now is his rampage. I assume that it is powergaming and i have to get
permission of the Cryer player faction. On the other hand if the results of this research are classified,
then Cryer would keep his escape as "just another dark little secret". I mean, it would cause a
PR-desaster if they would yell out a bounty an him and it would coming out that he is an
experiment running loose. The base didn't get any damage, only some personal losses.
Yes he is an old, fat geezer, maybe i have to add him a beard or something that makes him look older.
Additional to above bothers, i can't decide which faction he should be affiliated. The shortlisted factions
are Rogues and Hackers, but i don't know which of them have a violent behavior. The wiki says nothing
interessting about it. Any suggestions?
Yes, you're powergaming in describing your rampage through Atka.
Atka station is arguably the most secured research station under Cryer Pharmaceuticals and very few subjects actually escaped.
Think of another way of escaping, you're not going on a rampage as long as I remain the executive coordinator of the Health & Safety department but we're open to negotiation on joint RP stories.
