I found the first one pretty mediocre, I guess it you could call it good if you are going by 2005+ standards. Certainy far from the BG series however.

The second one seems even more dumbed down than the first, and after seeing the GC 2010 trailer....
Guess Bioware is following the mass effect 2 trend.

I guess. The story will be worth it, I'm sure.
I just fear that... like all games nowdays, the RPG aspects and anything that requies thnking will be removed and replaced with FPS. Or pure hack'n'slash in this case. Ah, ah, soon people will have no idea what Baldur or Icewind stands for, just action, action and action.

I buy things I don't want to make an impression on people I don't like.

I loved the first one because it was a classic RPG, the new one will be a hybrid with Mass Effect (dialogue and so on), I do hope they don't mess it up
