Definitely look odd those cargo pods...

My first attempt at making a signature, it's still work in progress, just wondered what people thought so far:



My plans involve faded and non-rectangular edges, and some text effects.

It's a decent first attempt, but you might want to add more interesting text styles and use your own ship render instead of the one from the wiki.

It's a decent first attempt, but you might want to add more interesting text styles and use your own ship render instead of the one from the wiki.

Not everyone has the Knowledge of making his own Renders. Or the required Programs. Using a Render of the Wikipedia is totally fine as long it looks okay. You can even make those look alright.

It's how you use the Render, if you can edit it well and implant it into the Signature you can even use a Screenshot, which I did in my early Days.


Anyway, about the Signature. I know you are just starting. You might wanna check out the Layer Styles (Glow, Shadow, Texture and Stuff). I don't know what Program you are using, but if you are having Photoshop you definately should try the Layer Styles (actually everyone uses them), you probably want to try some Filters as well.

You should start experimenting with blending techniques, self made effects and backgrounds. Name, ship and unaltered space stock with a few slapped on glow and blur gets boring after a while.

i know, i know, am slowly developing my style,
am just trying out different stuff atm.

And i still don't know how to use the pencil tool, masks,
and more than 80% of the filters :$
I think i should work with those a bit.

A guy I know had a graphics glitch while playing. somethin crazy came up, so I wanted to make a sig out of it. now, a month or two later, I finally got around to it.

and yes, its a pretty accurate description of gallia from a sirian point of view.

EDIT: probably should put the computer on the left, since its s'posed to be read first. ah well. whatcha gonna do. in my case, nothing.
