Cardimine, in example, would have added benefits such as say increased agility, but also bad effects, like lets say, less armor.

If you look at it, there'd be 3 real druggy commodities to be used, and disclaimers can be added in.

Other things could be added like "Super charged Capacitor" which could make you do more damage but lower refire, or "Extra Fuel Tank" which would let you thrust longer.

The possibilities for legit and healthy add ins would be endless

EDIT: Of course, relating to those things, thats assuming everyhting has a base value that modifys the equipment varible (IE, the ship variable is 1 and the thrust variable is 120, so the thruster adds 120 m/s to your velocity)

food rations make you stronger, synthpaste makes you weaker
other balance thingies: wine/water
cardimine/medicines

pretty cool idea... looking forward to reading all about how you learnt the coding to put it into effect....:)

Hello,
Hehe, I just love the idea and the buffs within it.
But somehow I think it would be difficult to put them in the game and make them work good. Maybe they will cause negative things in the game, like new bugs, slower game speed etc. But I aint an expert on that zone >.< As you might see.
Anyways...Funny idea;)

If your trying to make this realistic, How would talking cardi make your armor on your ship less?


Instead just make the reaction time slower, Because thats usually what drugs do to you.

Or just make the drugs last for a certain time, and when it wares off, you become slower than normal.

Mudd, once again you amaze me. Great idea, but as others said would be hard to implement. Cardi=faster turn speed and weapons are more accurate, however when it wears off you turn much more slowly, weapons are much less accurate. Weed=ship shakes less when shot, when it wears off, you need to have food rations (not synth paste mind you) and water in your cargo hold or you suffer a huge penalty to turn rate.

Just an idea. But as someone said, would need to be lawful variants too. Hard to implement, but a great bonus for RP.

I do like the idea, though it would bring an obvious balance issue...

As for difficulty to implement, if we have armour upgrades, we can do it... I mean, crap, they have perfectly working buffs on the Void too.
