We're going to let the LE try this by themselves. Insert whatever political machinations are necessary... some people probably want to see what they're capable of, some want to watch them fail for one reason or another. Net result is that we'll be on call if they need numbers for balancing, but otherwise we'll stay off on the sidelines... however...

If the GRN| see a foreign warship, they'll go pulverize it. I personally probably won't bother myself to write a sanction report, but I will bother myself to chase you across the system with my cap VIII Valor. I may or may not be the only cap VIII Valor present and chasing you.

Well, the whole thing happening in vicinity of Council (kind of...) and Brigand bases, I think a surprise attack wouldn't be at all unlikely... And on the other hand probably shouldn't really be unexpected, but +LE+ ending up failing due to being (inRP) a bit naive and/or cocky is a small price to pay for, hopefully, a decent event.

edit: but if anything bigger than a cruiser (even that is, IMO, unnecessary), comes along, I won't stand in your way when hunting it down...
