Add a FP in S-17?

The space in the Border Worlds between Tau-37 and Omicron Delta is vast, and surprisingly lacking in Freeports, ever since the destruction of Freeport 7 by the Nomads in 800AS.

I would like to put forward the idea that a Zoner Juggernaut might station itself where Freeport 7 was, prior to its destruction, in memory of the people who died that day, and their legacy as a Freeport.

So, essentially, this will mean a stationary Zoner Juggernaut be modded into the system. It shouldn't be too hard, and it will mean there's a Freeport in the Sigmas.

That's the whole idea. FP7 WAS in Sigma 17. But darn it all, it got blow'd up, and now there's no Freeport there.

Why not do it yourself?

I'm not talking about a player Juggernaut there. I'm talking about a stationary, dockable Juggernaut. Something other players can actually use.

Omicron Theta is a mere one jump away from Sigma-17. Theta contains Freeport 9.

No need to have two Freeports so close together.

So anyway, I heard you like Freeport 7, and I heard you like blue squishy things.

So, we put a blue squishy thing in your FP7.

In other words, I propose FP7 was built there for a reason, apart from there being a base simply meant for destruction.

I also propose the removal of FP XV, which is only one system away from Omicron Theta.:dry:

This map shows the location of Freeports in Sirius, including Freeports run by Zoners. Not including Zoner bases not explicitly Freeports or not housing opposed factions.

Note the complete lack of them in the NE part of Sirius.

You do know it's not the nav map that matters when there are jumpholes that take you across an entire third of the map in one jump, right? There is an FP in Omicron Theta, all of ONE JUMP from Sigma-17 where you suggest we put a Zoner station. A Zoner station in Sigma-17 would be a redundant station with absolutey no purpose, considering there is Freeport 9 next door, and Corfu Base which is already a redundant base, on the other side of Omicron Theta.

Not to mention the Zoners already have THIRTEEN bases and a planet.. That's not counting thetwo guard systems. Counting them would put us at 19 Zoner stations, 1 Zoner planet. Is there any faction in the mod that DOESN'T need a station as badly as the Zoners right now?
