There is no need for any drone pilot to buy your guns. If you buy the ship, you automatically have bought the weapons, too.

you don't get it, the drone comes with 1x stem gun 3 and 2x stem gun 5's and 1x stem gun 1.

But it is possible to mount and legal to mount 4x stem gun 3's...

eh, it costs at LEAST 10million each time you buy a drone, you get ONE stem gun 3 with that, THEN you must undock, fly to another base, BUY another ship THEN fly all the way back and do the whole thing again...

so yeah, NOT free... besides I just got blown up and lost all those guns trying to get back to NY... just typical...

1. You cannot sell those ships to anyone but someone who has an AI Drone.

2. Anyone that has an AI Drone ALREADY gets those guns that you want to throw away.


Why would anyone want to buy them from you, if you removed them from your Drone? Just sell them to the Equipment dealer......

Ladies, try to listen to what he actually SAIS.

Normal drone loadout:
AI Stem Gun 1 (Class 10)
AI Stem Gun 3 (Class 10)
AI Stem Gun 5 (Class 10)
AI Stem Gun 5 (Class 10)
AI Side Turret (Class 5)
AI Side Turret (Class 5)

This is what you get in the package price of 18,5 million when you buy the drone.

This is what he is selling:
AI Stem Gun 3 (Class 10) x 3
AI Side Turret (Class 5) x 2

So the side turrets and one Stem Gun 3 is in the house after one purchase. Then he would have had to unmount the weapons and buy the ship two more times to get three Stem Gun 3's.
So now he has spent 55,5 million just to get those weapons.
THAT is why is wants to sell them, because he spent a crapload of money to get them.

So here is a tip to ALL of you. Try to freakin' LISTEN before you blindly start typing!

Marcus, on a completely different note
How the hell did you pull it off? As Arms and Legs Guy said, you cannot change the weapon loadout on the AI Drone...
You will get kicked off the server when you undock and your guns will be reset to the default loadout.
I've tried. Server script prevents messing around with the weapons loadout on the AI Drone.

works like this:

Buy drone - fly to another base - buy another ship and another licence (the illegal part) - keep AI guns (mount them or just carry them)

Fly back and buy another drone - mount extra guns - repeat.

As far as I tried to keep my AI licence I am sure the only way I managed it was to buy a new licence and also a new ship. BUT if you had an AI companion there is no rule breaking involved at all, just give the weapons to the other player and keep buying new drones...

(at least I am sure that would work in theory)

Shame I lost them, that certainly was some bad luck at a bad time... but I will be buying an AI carrier next time... I am not sure it is worth getting even the turrets for it...

Still I hope this has been enlightening for everyone... I am back to mining in Dublin until I earn enough for my AI Carrier...
