This is Margrave Blaise Mersenne, submitting an action report for the 10th of Septembre, 784 A.G.S.

Inter-System Sensor alerts indicated an unknown mass reading within His Majesty's Territory of Dauphine. The Sylvana embarked from Dijon Station immediately to intercept and identify these targets. Upon departure, we were made privy that a small group of pilots belonging to the Legion des Damnes were flying within Burgundy; a group of pilots from His Majesty's Royal Navy, including Her Highness Princess Aurelia DeFrance, were already on-scene and dealing with them. The Sylvana prioritized the sensor readings in Dauphine, and madamoiselle Lucille Montague joined as an escort.

Upon arriving in Dauphine, visible confirmation was confirmed with one of the unknown vessels but, before a detailed structural analysis could be completed, it disappeared. During our search, Her Highness arrived in Dauphine aboard her personal vessel, the Ange Gardien. She had located the unknown vessel, and the Sylvana rendezvoused with it directly west of the Nyons Asteroid Field; the second target was also confirmed to be within range, and Operations performed a structural analysis on both vessels. Submitted below are the results of those scans:

Fig. 1

Statistical Analysis

Fig. 2

Statistical Analysis

The captain of the larger vessel claimed to have had no knowledge about Her Highness, nor any other persons of interest within Gallia. With nothing else to be learned, Her Highness issued the command to fire upon the Cruiser and its escort; the Sylvana dealt with the warship whilst madamoiselle Montague handled the fighter escort.

After the situation in Dauphine was resolved, all Royal Navy elements returned to Burgundy to respond to the increasing number of Legion fighters. By this point, a lone pilot belonging to the Free Brigands was found to be amongst the Legion. Combat was already underway, and all fighter-craft of His Majesty's Royal Navy were dispatched to eliminate the traitors. The tide of the battle remained even for the most part, with each fighter involved locked in combat with one other fighter; after the elimination of one Legion heavy fighter, His Majesty's Royal Navy gained the upper-hand. A Legion gunboat was also found to have entered into Burgundy, at which point the Sylvana was dispatched to intercept and eliminate it.

Upon conclusion of the engagement, the Legion/FBG combat wing withdrew. With the all-clear given, all vessels belonging to His Majesty's Royal Navy were ordered to return to base.

Submitted below is the confirmed shoot-down count of the battle:

It is also to be noted that Her Majesty scored one last shoot-down prior to the assembling of the above information: a Legion bomber.

Analysis: Upon initial scans of the unknown vessels in Dauphine, it was revealed they were both of Zoner origin. The classes of each vessel have also been encountered previously, and can be cited in Naval Archive reports #32 and #53 (Concerning the Fearless-class Cruiser), and #56 (Concerning similar structural patterns between the fighter encountered and that of the target 'SMP|Lt.Emma.Leroy' from the report).

The vessel in Fig. 1 has already been identified as a Fearless-class Cruiser. Previous battle encounters indicate that it is sub-par in comparison to the Obstinate-class fielded by His Majesty's Royal Navy, but today's encounter allowed us to perform a detailed structural analysis on its primary components and equipment. The Fearless mounts fewer cannons than our own Obstinates, and possesses thinner hull plating as well. Heuristic combat demonstrations indicate that, on even footing, the Obstinate will eliminate a Fearless before significant damage can be sustained; it can be assumed that such vessels are relegated to a primary reconnaissance role instead of front-line combat.

Fig. 2 displays a Virage-class Very Heavy Fighter. Again, analysis prioritizes these as low-threat targets and are projected to serve primarily in an escort role.

Concerning the Legion, a greater number of their pilots were fielded in today's encounter. It is believed that the organization may have recruited new pilots from unlawful sources to bolster their combat presence. Their use of the Cuirassier-class Heavy Fighter and Arquebus-type Photon Cannons further reinforces the belief that the Legion maintains strong ties to the Brigands; assistance from a member of the Free Brigands can also be cited as evidence of this association. It can be expected that further, and larger, encounters with the Legion will become more prevalent.

Conclusion: It would seem that the Zoners have once again taken an interest in Gallia. The vessels encountered in Dauphine do not have registration frequencies related to the TAZ, another Zoner-affiliated group that has been seen frequently in the past. It is also curious to note that the captain of the Fearless-class Cruiser claims to have never heard of Her Majesty, especially considering Her history with the Zoners as a whole; information may be poorly-disseminated between Zoners, or the captain was simply feigning ignorance. Regardless of this, His Majesty's Royal Navy must again step-up patrols to counteract another Zoner incursion into His Majesty's Territories. It is also suggested that information be gathered concerning their reasoning for returning.

Concerning the Legion des Damnes, the organization has become increasingly brave in regards to attacks against His Majesty's Royal Navy. Their ability to field multiple pilots indicates a personnel quantity greater than was originally believed. The confirmed association with the Free Brigands may also result in a combined increase in fighter pilots available for both groups; it is suggested that Naval patrols maintain a lookout for their presence, and to scramble additional fighter-craft in anticipation for a larger arrival of Legion fighters.

To the best of my abilities, I claim the contents to be truthful and accurate.

By my hand and eye,

Margrave Blaise Mersenne

Location: Battleship Beuvray; Burgundy

Bonjour,

I started my patrol at the Beuvray, from where I moved up to Nevers. When I returned, a Council vessel, owned by a Freelancer undocked from Dijon. It appeared to be a spy, after I asked the relevant questions which remained unanswered, the spy was eliminated.

Together with Sous-Lieutenant de la Roche, the systems of Burgundy and Dauphine were secured. Until I spotted a Brigands vessel near the Dauphine Jumpgate in Burgundy, the Sous-Lieutenant was ordered to take care of the problem, seeing that more of them arrived. The Sous-Lieutenant ship was destroyed after he did some damage to the traitors vessel.

With the destruction of the Sous-Lieutenants vessel, I was left alone there. Fortunately Princess Aurelia, which dealed with some Zoner vessels in Dauphine before, arrived with backup. I was able to damage one of the traitors vessels, but had to retreat soon after the Princess' arrival.

The damage done to the Brigands vessel should prevent them from launching in the near future.

For the crown!

"[color=#FFFFFF]Bonjour,

today turned out to be regular patrol, nothing out of the blue. However, there was one vessel. a Gallic Trading vessel to be more exact.

He was carrying Oil, I had reason to belief he was smuggling it form and to Burgundy. However, before I got chance to question him, a bomber patrol arrived, resaulting in the ships destruction.

Apart from that, nothing else to report.

[font=Trebuchet Ms]This time 5 minutes ahead of schedule, I launched from Avalon Station and started my patrol. I immediately heard all sorts of chatter on the system wide comm channel. It certainly didn't sound very friendly, so I teamed up with Aubert Giroux and started investigating. It became quite obvious they were Sirians, mercenaries, only interested in money. I highly suspect them working for the Council, at least their intelligence was very similar c.q. low. Apparently they were looking for Lieutenant Giroux, but failed. While trying to find us, they started insulting and threatening us.

After 15 minutes, they finally managed to "find" us. They were clearly out for a fight, and they got one. Although we were outnumbered, we had the upper hand in the fight. They proved to be lousy fighters, whenever they were out of repair supplies, They went after the rookie pilots to rob them of their supplies. We weren't interested in such a low fight, so we decided to lure then to Dijon's weapon platforms. This tactic proved quite effective, since we damaged some of them quite badly.

It appeared not all of them are registered hostile to the GRP and GRN. I recommend that the entire SMP faction to be registered as fully hostile to the Gallic Royal forces, especially this one:

After a while, they had enough of being in the disadvantage, and tried to lure us out of the protection area of the weapon platforms. When they failed at that, they turned to psychological warfare, trying to make us feel bad about ourselves by calling us all sorts of things. After 45 minutes of fighting, one of them blew himself up with is own mine... idiot.

After that, Princess Aurelia DeFrance joined us, and managed to take out one of the fighters after a very short duel. Once they realized you can't mess with the Royal Navy, the rest of them fled. I had an appointment for dinner, so I left soon after that.

Long live the King! Long live Gallia!

Bonjour,
Yesterday my patrol wingmates spotted a Redemption class Battleship near Planet Nevers. Sous-Lieutenant Armel de la Roche assisted me. We crippled the ship's cruiser until our flagship arrived. It wasn't a big deal for the Chant du Cygne. We managed to rescue a few cruiser commanders as well as two Fleet Admirals. They're now safe in Avallon Station.

Few hours later, they new recruit Gerard Boiselle joined us. Then, the Maquis terrorist named Nadine Dumont showed up again. I tried to solve the situation peacefully, but she was stubborn enough to deny the surrender. I engaged her, but in the end, my Serval hit two mines at once and... Here I am, waiting for a Lynx.

Death: GRN|Aubert,Giroux was put out of action by Maquis|Nadine.Dumont (Mine).

Soon after lunch at 12.40SMT, I launched from Battleship Embrun to start my patrol. Capitaine Pauline Valence et [color=#FFFFFF]Lieutenant Aubert Giroux
were already out, so I set course to meet them. At the gate in Burgundy, I encountered a Civilian with a cargo hold full of Military Vehicles. He was about to jump to Dauphine, so I was too late to question him. The Capitaine ordered to persuit, so I went after him through the gate. He was very cooperative, and we agreed to meet at Gap Station for a small questioning. What I suspected was true infortunatly, he was planning to take the vehicles to Planet Quillan. We explained the situation to him, and he was very understanding. Apperantly, he didn't realize the planet was in hands of the Council. He must have been asleep for quite some time to not know that. Anyway, he agreed to take the cargo to the RNS Carcasonne so we escorted him to make sure.

While patrolling the gate area, a hostile contact showed up on our scanners. It was a Sirian, a Zoner called Diversant to be precise! We stopped him, and started to question him.

The fool didn't say a word, so Capitaine Valence arrange a meeting with madame Guilloutine. It was a short date, because after barely 5 minutes, I fired the final shot that tore his ship apart. Another Sirian less, always good.

In the meantime, the same civilian reported Brigand activity at the gate in Burgundy. Lieutenant Giroux went ahead to check it out. Nothing was at the gate, but after a quick sweep of the sytem, he found the Brigand! After I was done with the Zoner, the Capitaine had to leave so I continued on my own to assist Lieutenant Giroux. It was a bomber class vessel by the name of +LE+Bt.Jean.Aigle, and we didn't have much trouble taking him out.

While heading back to Avalon, some council forces took me by surprise, and damaged my ship pretty badly. Exactly 1 hour after I launched from the RNS Embrun, I managed to get to Avalon, where I'm staying for now while my ship is being repaired.

Bonjour,

I have to report 2 events, one being a patrol together with Lieutenant Giroux.
We started at Planet Nevers, moving towards Alesia. Upon our arrival everything appeared to be safe, so we decided to check the nearby scrap field. We were able to spot and remove 2 Brigand and 2 Maquis vessels. The next waypoint would have been Dijon, but on our way, 2 Sirian vessels crossed our path. They refused to answer our questions and tried to flee, fortunately we were able to catch them near Alesia.

Later Lieutenant Picard joined us and we were able to spot a Zoner in the Languedoc system. It has been removed after it refused to answer our questions.

This report is about the incident that occurred September 21st, involving the Junker Frigate Krell, Lynx, and myself.

While flying back to my regular post at Avalon station, I encountered a large and heavily armed Junker vessel filled with our tobacco. I found it rather suspicious, so I started questioning him. He openly admitted to be trading with Sirius, exporting our goods, and importing Sirian crap into our systems. This is of course high treason, and the only possible course of action was to annihilate the traitor. Lynx joined my in the relatively easy "fight" and the target was destroyed within minutes.

Monsieur Directeur,
It is agent Zero-Two reporting, do we have a secure connection?

Yes Zero-Two, go ahead, what's your status

Well sir, everything is going according to plan. Planet Quilans docking control let us pass without any trouble. That was the tricky part. we landed on Quilan near the village just now. We are not detected, everything seems quiet. All three of us are ready and will proceed to our targets shortly. After we replaced our targets, we will proceed and enlist us for the council forces. As soon as we can acces a ship, we're out of here and will be heading back to the Martyr.

Bon, good luck then, and I expect to hear from you again in 48 hours

Very well Directeur, zero-two out.
