Get a hold of yourselves and stick together as an official faction.
My first recommendation would be to delete that first post immediately.
Stick together and overcome this, the ZDF and Zoner alliance disbanding is bad enough.
I completely agree with Lobby. I have had so much -great- RP with you guys, I don't want to see an awsome faction to go down. Please reconsider.
Edit: And most of that awsome RP was with C M Burns. Don't throw the faction away, the Zoners are going through a bad time but you'll make it through!:)

I agree 100% with Divine here..
Let's make this into a calculation
When the Corsairs begin an full out war (Sails, A) against the zoner.
The zoner population decreased rapidly because it wasn't fun anymore.
And don't say: "Yeah well you should have went with it and not emo'd out."
Well, you know what, when people stop having fun people should stop playing and ok..
The ZDF disbanded, the ZTC disbanded, several people stopped playing their Zoner characters (Doc included), several others just left discovery and went to another server where they could RP their characters.
So.. This is alright by the server's standards?
That several people quit because it isn't fun?
Jeez..
Now, I tried to solve the situation ooc for a bit now, but it didn't work, cause the damage had been done.
And Admins, I hope your keeping an eye on this entire situation.
The choice of the Corsairs to harass the Zoners, and the consequence of the Consortium leaving... but also the choice to respond to the Corsairs in the way the Zoners did and then suffering the consequences in the form of an abundance of pvp.

I'd like to know what magic solution you guys think the admin team should apply?

If tomorrow Rheinland and Liberty decided to sign a peace treaty, would you approve it?
Or, if Liberty pardoned the Order and awarded them a medal for warding off an alien invasion?
Would you do nothing if Outcasts and Corsairs joined to create House Hispania?
What about if Gallia decided that they no longer want to wage war with the other Houses, and signed a peace treaty with Bretonia?
If the answer to all of these questions is "yes," then the admin team doesn't have to do anything.
Edit: Incidentally, if the Zoners are permitted to add "Corsairs" (including all of their allies, as no doubt AFA and Hogosha will join in on the fun) as enemies, does that mean that the next time Liberty and Order players wish to create a peace pact, you'll let them?

Actually all I want to know is that you keep an eye on the situation and the repercussions that will come from it.
I know there is very little you can do, but uphold the rules that have been placed.
Quote:0.0 Be excellent to one another. Consider the people around you. Keep fair play in mind. It's a game and nothing is gained, or lost, save the experience. Credits can be re-earned. Ammunition replenished. If you become infuriated step away. If you make a mistake apologize. If you wish to remain in system after you die, or after someone has moved away, simply ask.
Fair play, a level head and consideration for others.
If the High Command of any of those two factions you stated wanted to create a lasting peace, they would.
In the case of Liberty and the Order, if they got out of Alaska, that would be on the cards. Frankly, from what I gather, the Order have wanted peace and Liberty have simply said absolutely not until certain conditions are met. There is the background for this to happen actually, if the conditions are correct. Trouble is, Liberty arent willing to compromise on the conditions that they've set for the Order, and the Order are not willing to fulfill the conditions set by Liberty. However, if each side were, Im pretty sure we'd see a complete lack of fighting on that front, rather than sporadic fighting as it is currently.
In the case of Liberty and Rheinland, we're in no hurry. There is also no will on either side for peace at this time, nor the background roleplay to support any such decision.
Those are the two I have experience of from the perspective of Liberty.
If it was to be done in roleplay? Why stop it?
Serpentis, you could argue that the 30+ pages, largely of complaints, is the failure of 'the other' side to abide by rule 0.0 too. As you say, situation and repercussions do not only apply to one side.
