Am I the only one bothered by the enourmous break in tradition? Kusari is characteristically light and hard-hitting. The Kusari Battleship shatters that tradition in a way I feel is lore-breaking. I realize it's a vanilla ship, but we're tweaking the Kusari Destroyer, right?
So the question I'm asking is; Is the Kusari BS uncharacteristically heavy enough to warrant a change?
I want to say yes, but the Kusari BS compared in size to other BS's like Liberty, Bretonia and Rheinland. Kusarii does have the rather large Battleship which would explain the larger hull.

well, basically he wanted to say that all kusari shipline sharing the same ideology of small and agile ships with epic exception of battleship. But there is really nothing to do with that because kusari battleship is vanilla one and for remaking (resizing) it tonns of effort must be placed (lowering stats without resizing will not work as well coz Kusari battleship is big enough and very compared to current armor stats). So i'd say - leave it to be like this. There is kusari battlecruiser was proposed somewhere.
I agree that there's not all that much we can do with vanilla models, so this is a general "Why, Freelancer Devs, why" thread. 'Guess we just have to go with the Kusari BC for the lighter battleship variant.

This guy got it right. If you'd look at the WWII history of Japan, they had some really small ships, and then two exceedingly huge Battleships (Yamato and I forget, it started with an M). In their Naval Air Force, they also had a lot of horrible pilots, then a small pool of exceedingly good pilots. It's really a Kusari thought to have lots of small things lead by a small number of great leaders.

mhm, also remember that the vanilla kusari battleship you could easily destroy by destroying it rear "fins" (which would cause the ship's engine to blow off, which then kills the bb)
I killed one in a Orca once in 10 dseconds flat.
But that was a older model, I havent seen one likeit in a while.
