"In local news, the CWP, or Colorado Worker's Party, has attempted to appeal to the Xenos demographic by promising to restrict outside goods and services from Kusari should their candidate acquire the Governmental seat. Candidate Simon Dent spoke earlier during a rally on Planet Denver further promising to create more jobs for Libertonian citizens within Colorado.
We now bring you to the CWP office on the planet Denver with a message from Candidate Dent."
" My fellow citizens of Colorado, for years we were a backbone for our great house of Liberty. But now we are drained, tired and I am sure each one of you at home are equally concerned, wondering 'Where will I work tomorrow?' or perhaps even 'Will I lose my job to cheap labor from Kusari?'.
Let me assure you, the Colorado Worker's Party will not abide this to happen, solutions are always there that do not bring in outsiders to steal your jobs, your dignity and your hope for a better future within our home. Colorado does not need people from Bretonia or Kusari to tell us how to do our jobs, we do not need them to tell us 'You should hire us, we are cheaper than your local work force.'
If we want to survive as a regional government we must pull together and as one say 'No, we have a better way!' If elected I swear that I shall do all within my power to make Colorado great once again without the need to go to outside powers for goods or services, Liberty is the best for goods and services within the whole of Sirius, it has been and always shall be thus.
I ask each and every citizen of Colorado to write a letter, detail your concerns and I promise you I shall personally take these concerns to the Governor, should he refuse to listen to these concerns I shall take this to a higher level of government if I must, we, the people of Colorado will be heard, good night Colorado."
"That was Simon Dent, leader of the Colorado Worker's Party, and this is Colorado Local News Network, good night."
Victor Robinson took a puff of his Cardamine cigar after reading the message.
He typed up the following message:
"LEGALIZE CARDAMINE AND SYNTH MARY IN COLORADO! The current illegal status of these recreational substances is an excuse used by the facists of the LPI to imprison the citizens of Colorado and send them to slave labor camps."
Aaron Brown sees the message and pretty much not verbally express his opinions to his campaign manager. Though his campaign manager had no problems rattling off why "Isolationism" didn't work in the past. And even then so an socialist isolationism would be even worse. He too explained the Xeno theme had long since deemed out with the majority as most population in Denver doesn't care about political idealism. But rather something more real. And real results, his campaign explained, was the Colorado Restoration Plan which the first step has already been passed through Congress. And has now employees 20 million workers of the 28% that is below standards for Lower class tax bracket. Another 10 million have been recruited for the National Guard Colorado Rangers. Which will act as policing forces. All the while Aaron Brown, candidate for governorship, listens he plots his questions and his speech for the upcoming Aspen Heights Governorship debate.
In a rather bland and gray office, a man sat at his desk, reading. He smiled softly, picking up the phone and dialing very carefully, watching to make sure he didn't misdial. He waited, then smiled as the gruff voice on the other side growled, "Yes?"
"Ah. Jack. Long time no talk, ja?" His voice was cheery and rather soft.
"What do you want Grusling?" The man's growl deepened.
"Money, Jack. Have you ever thought about politics...?" The corner of his mouth turned up in a wry grin.
"THE HULL HAS BEEN BREACHED AND THESCIENCEIS LEAKING OUT!"
Tharog Frosthearth smiles a bit when he finally received the speech. It takes some time to reach Omega-49 after all. He is sitting on a cough together with a woman and a man. They nod but stay silent.
"A tad aggresive, but in tha core I think he means it pretty good. Might make the government a wee bit less corrupt, I'll check if by some means I can keep my voting rights since I haven't been trialed yet."
The woman frowns and says: "Eh Tharog, but didn't they declare you rogue and isn't that why we're here now?"
"Aye, Christine, but if I am not trialed how an I lose my right tae vote on these lads? Which reminds me they don't even have evidence, I say let's change things like -that-. A fair court I want, and no when where the lock me up while they are preparing it even though they will surely lose it. I want justice!" Tharog replies.
He turns to the man "Dean, can ye send that tae those lads there? That I want justice in Liberty?"
