And I'll run with a higher Charisma this time but even after buffing up with Party Time Mentats all the time I didn't notice much of a difference when it came to companions. Veronica still punches everything short of Deathclaw packs into the stratosphere, Boone kept making things die as usual but I can't say they were doing the job better with +5 Cha. Maybe it only works off base stats so idk.

Did anyone else have problems with the quest Bye Bye Love? I'm trying to escort a prostitute from the Gomorrah out to Freeside but every time I try to follow her out of the building the quest just fails for me. So it just doesn't let me escort her.

Anyone else have the same problem?

I have the same problem. Joana just... disappeared. (Note: I installed all the game updates).

I'm partial to this version myself.

It's a damn good game, a few issues here and there, but hey, nothing mods can't fix. If anyone's interested, there's the New Vegas Nexus that's packed full of mods. If you're having lots of Frame Rate issues when looking at NPC's or just in general then use this (If you use an Nvidia Card) or this (If you use an ATI Card). It helped my performance tenfold.

Finally, I'm extremely glad that Charisma, Speech and Barter isn't totally useless. I also appreciate the black humor, I won't spoil it for you but there's a really black and dark quest that Fallout 3 has nothing on.;)

Finally, I'm extremely glad that Charisma, Speech and Barter isn't totally useless.

Charisma, Speech and Barter are much more than "not totally useless". You simply need a decent Speech and Barter to get through many quests and to complete some of the essential quests.

But you can still run around with 70 Barter and Speech and be a[color=#CC66CC]ble to boost it by 30+ points while you've a Cha. score of 1 and I still dun' see much of a difference with companions. [color=#33FF33]Q[color=#FF6666]_Q
