Target (only to talk): Globalo

My never appreciated Globalo, continued laughing, at least my words provoke an emotion in guys like you, I guess you laugh too much when I saved the ass of one of your Elders (as well as to ask the head of my old family a decoration) .
I do not want a war and, even less, be forced to kill Sairs. If you want some of the Zoners, first get our respect, second take anything for memory (I am concerned about the lack of it within the Empire, perhaps due to lack of food with enough phosphorus) and third lose your fear of not winning a war of words (it is less costly in lives and resources).
Lastly, if you want a war do not call others to help you. If as you say you are the great Empire, you fight alone against the Zoners and friends who want to help them or, perhaps, you are not as strong as you think and you have some internal strife.
I'm offering you peace, but not at any price or under a Sair position of strength. Take it or leave it, but you do not blame us.

Didn't wild territorial claims get us in trouble not a month or two ago? What difference does it make who controls what in Theta as long as we're allowed to operate our bases?

It seems that the collective memory of certain groups of Zoners is rather short.

Senor Pirx,

Rest assured that this should not affect your dealings and the dealings of Freeport 5 in any way.
I would of course ask you to refrain from offering succour to our enemies, should this degenerate any further.

Regards,

Chico Benitez

Senor, how many times saved corsairs zoner ships??? I think much more time that zoners saved corsairs ships...so dont talk about it
Second, yours respect, respect from someone who one day say that freeport is open for all,and day before you say that freeport is not freeport??? One decision after another and radical different as was that before??? Wake up! What you will thing about someone who is changing things everyday???
And last thing, you are talking about calling allies, who called hessians, outcast and SCRA ? Corsairs???
I will see how will zoners stand alone
and senor pirx,i ordered brotherhood gunboat to stay in omega 41 to help you when needed and to help all peacefull zoners there, because i know that some our pilots make miatakes sometimes.

Freeport One had already faced Corsair agression. We already know what their diplomacy means. My personal opinion should stay away from work, but I have dissapointed in ability of whole nation to think and percept things realistically. I'm still an officer and I still believe in what I used to believe. That's not about square meters of space, it's about our way of life. I understand the risk, but I believe in your political wisdom. We still have some administrative work to do in Omega-3, but we will send group of ships to Seventy Four anyway. It's not an official Freeport administration position at the moment, but I think it's the matter of time.

P.S. Thoose fools still think that their women are hotter. It's so amusing.
Yours faithfully,
Bernard Finch.

Senor Pushkin,

I am sure your word is good, but do you happen to have the evidence of the Benitez attacking FP9?
I'd also like evidence of Benitez attacking Zoner vessels in Theta out of aggression, rather than defending themselves. I am aware of only one occasion and that pilot, at the time was unaware of the situation. I would very much like to have a copy for the records.

I am quite confident that you are aware that threatening to, and launching attacks into Gamma justified a particular response and your incursions got exactly that.
Anyway, with the escalation currently underway, we will fight alongside our brothers against any aggressor within the boundaries of the Empire, and out of it.

The point of this missive?
It pains me to see all the rhetoric used so long ago to justify the actions of the crew aboard the FP repeated and so I will attempt to make you familiar with it.
Do you remember the AW-Corsair wars?
This came about because of the intractablility the Zoners placed about their so called neutrailty.
Hunters, in search of the immortal credit would base off the FP to raid Gamma but not just for combat pilots. No. Any corsair ship was valid, military or transport.
Outcast battlefleets who still to this day break through the warzone in Eta get re-fueled and re-armed at the FP before entering Gamma. They are there to kill or enslave Corsairs. Men, women and children.
And when these ships withdraw, where do you think they withdraw to?
And the final nail in the coffin. Who protects them with their NFZ?

You see Commander, the guilty party isn't just the man with the gun, it's also the man who loads it for him and hides him in his home.
That is exactly how we percieve it. We have tolerated this for a long time and when the Empire finally took action, the action they took was a surprise to you.
Why?
Just what did you expect exactly?
A good neighbour would not help the thief into his neighbours house and yet, we find this to be the case over and over with no single Freeport authority prepared to do anything despite our protestations.
Our hand was forced a long time ago Senor by inaction.

In conclusion Commander, you have a choice to make. To repeat the errors of your predecessors or change and make a lasting peace.

Regards,

Chico Benitez

Primarily to Mr Ferguson, Mr Pushkin.
I am sorry, but I see nothing here but foolishness and short-sighted politicking, from both sides. Especially from ours, not just the Corsairs. You claim that Omicron Theta has always belonged to us Zoners, but show some tact, man! As a people, Zoners have only existed for about 150 years, freeport 9 a lot less than that. The Corsairs have been in that space for almost 800 years. By merit of the argument of someone 'always' owning something, I'm afraid we fall rather short. Now you are doing nothing less than aggrevating an incredibly touchy and hostile military nation, led by junta that would be quite at home scattering your void-burned bodies across the solar system.

I am a realist. I can see this situation from an outside perspective, and all I can see is a select few aboard that forsaken station have condemned rather a lot of people to death. Why does Theta matter to us? Simply put, it doesn't. We don't have territorial claims outside Omicron 74 and Omega 49. We have stations. The stations are what are important, and up until now, the Corsairs didn't want those stations! All of you, think about what you are doing! The station has only just been repaired to functional levels! The biodomes that your organisation destroyed, Mr Ferguson, have only just been replaced! Residents that fled in fear have only just begun to return!

Freeport 9 is not an indestructible bastion. The Corsairs will rend it apart if they wish it. Freeport 1 may have suffered their displeasure in the past, but there is one major difference between '1 and '9: '9 happens to be one jump - right on the doorstep of - the Corsair home system. To phrase it differently, that is the marshalling ground and rally point of every. One. Of. Their. Fleets. You talk about supply lines and deployments that their enemies could take advantage of, but I really fail to see how. To attack '9 they would not have to pass through any hostile territory at all. Skiros Shipyard is a mere 10k from the Theta jumphole for goodness sake!

May I ask what the use of denying docking rights to the Corsairs is, after hostilities have died down? The skirmishes that occurred between the Corsairs and coalition forces last time were a fire that burned the Omicrons. Then you wait until they have died down to smouldering embers before you stoke them up to an inferno with bellows and petrol? Your actions are senseless, whatever the militants who think they can win some sort of crusade against the Cretians say. Swallow your pride, or you'll asphyxiate on it.

I have already taken news of this to Freeport 10 Station Hall. They'll decide what the station's stance on this debacle is. I'll be setting course to the station myself imminently, with a supply of water, which you'll no doubt need when the Omicroners once again blow the biodomes off and consequently the water purifiers located within. On my return, I'll carry all and any residents who wish to migrate to Freeports 10 or 6 for safer, saner prospects. If you wish to contest any of my points, fellow Zoners, please do so.
Yours incredulously.
~Howard Lovecrepe

It truly is sad that it has come to this. I tried to get the residents of Freeport 9 to see reason and, sadly, I failed. Making a few minor concessions to the power next door must be a bit hard to men with egos such as yours. Sure the past events are tragic but you are condemning more innocent lives to their fate.

You endanger our lifeblood in the iridium and deuterium highways with your foolishness. I could continue on but my thoughts echo the others of more sensible Zoners on this channel. Hopefully, we all don't end up suffering for your idiocy.

Mr. Caudill, Do not delude yourself on your role in this. YOU came and took over the talks, and YOU told us what the Corsairs wanted and asked for our opinions. Then YOU vanished and never spoke to Mr. Separdi again, and didnt even bother to inform us that you had left. The last talks seemed to be going so well, then YOU abandoned them and us. YOU left us to be blindsided. So the blame here is as much yours as it is ours.
