New transport turrets?

So the update has brought new transport turrets forth, but so far I'm unable to find any of them. I've tried places where I found the old transport turrets before and found none of the new ones. So maybe I'm mistaken and there are no new turrets? Is it just the fact that the old turrets had been boosted?

Please tell me about these new turrets, locations and prices etc.

3 Is the same, 1 Is Buster, 2 Is cerberus,4 IS SOlaris

Same place and price as the old ones, they are the old ones

OK then, I was getting a little confused by people refering to cerebus and pulse transport turrets. So they are just re-done old turrets. Thanks

edit: IMO except from Type 4 every other turrets are hopeless against fighters/bombers outwith ~300M


There should be a transport flak.

4 doesnt do another damage to hurt a fighter, stick with 2's.

small transport turrets are there so the models dont make your ship look chunky:P
stats are the same as the normal turrets so they're useable, but they types are swapped around.
small Type 1 = Type 3
small Type 2 = Type 4
small Type 3 = Type 1
small Type 4 = Type 2

haven't played with them a lot, but i'll assume the graphics are swapped around too.

As I was saying, 2's fail to hit anything past the range of ~300 in my recent experience. So I propse a rapid-firing, low damage, high speed, flak turret for transports. I'm having a hard time right now trying to hit even NPC fighters with 4 2's and 2 4's.

YOu are aware that the guns are only meant to hurt Gunboats, and such a weapon will not exist?

So a transport is just supposed to glide by, taking all the fire from pirate fighter raiding parties or even player bombers/fighters without doing anything as its turrets are useless against them?

Now this appears to be a sign of unbalance to me as transports have no effective weapons against faster moving targets. Besides the majority of transports won't be a match for gunships anyway, except if they decide to run.
