I love America.
Dingy you noob, stop wasting my time with your posts and go VOTE FOR JIMMY!
' Wrote:Now you're just asking for trouble. I'd ask for 25 before even going to the polls since it's a misdemeanor iirc and that could get you a few nights in jail. A few people in Minneapolis were cited for being a little too nosey, too close to a precinct and asking for ID just to be sure they were eligible. They were confirmed Teaparty peeps.
God forbid that only eligible voters should vote. I said it before, I'll say it again. Vote. Vote often. Vote anywhere they'll let you in the door. If they let you vote in Chicago after your expiration date, then send me a pic holding the Chicago Tribune from today and 5 million credits will be in your coffers.

I don't know when your polls close, I don't know if you've already voted, but don't let that stop you!
VOTE FOR JIMMYYYYYYY! JIMMYYY! MCMILLAN!
If you already voted, go to another precinct and vote again. It's NEW YORK BABY, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE! LIVE THE DREAM!
Besides, if you can't vote twice in New York, then where can ya?
I agree. Nobody who gives Chris Matthews a reason to look that smug deserves to be reelected. Economic science conclusively demonstrates that Chris Matthews' smugness is driving down my property value so that my house is now only worth 66 cents on the dollar of what I paid for it 5 years ago. P.S. I'll give 5 million credits to anyone providing positive proof of the dead voting in Chicago today. Today's edition of the Chicago Tribune needs to be in the photo for verification.
Hahaha! I love this guy. I heard him speak about a month ago, and i knew he was on the right track. I'm not usually on the democratic side of the line.. But Jimmy actually knows what the hell he's doing/saying, and he's got a good motive too. The rent is too damn high.
If he doesn't win, Damn shame.
Note: He's lost twice before, i think.. This is his third run-in.
New Yorker here. I passed off the Democratic (Cuomo) and Republican (Paladino) candidates for governor because of my disdain for both. I couldn't vote Jimmy because<strike> I am a conspiracy theorist and I believe the Republicans planted him to steal youth votes from the Democrats</strike> his agenda is a bit ridiculous, as was the gubernatorial debate which may as well have been "New York Idol." Warren Redlich (Libertarian) and Howie Hawkins (Green) were my top choices. I'll leave it a mystery as to whom I actually cast my vote for, but I'll tell you it wasn't Jimmy McMillan.
Xoria, please don't hate me!

No, no, no, THIS is real ninja. Watch the video. Voters are stealthily showing up at the polls to cast ballots for candidates, and nobody can see them without the mind altering effects of botox possessed by the Queen Bee herself, and bestowed on her loyal flunkies.
Just one hour 'til the first real results come in. Wait 59 minutes then hold your breath.

And exhale.
That's it for me, time to bank some sleep against 2 more years of tax and spend before the inevitable reality of Greece once again taking over the world on the back of having the only sound currency left on the planet. Everyone's a Winner!
P.S. I'm happy to report that it looks like Orlando, Florida just fired perhaps the most vile, despicable, hate-mongering troglodyte ever to kiss babies and rob grandmothers while shaking grandpa's hand. That would be U.S. House District 8.

Kiori's Politically incorrect(controversial) way of solving politics
1.) Make political offices a civil service, not a "I'm set for life with all this money/fame I'm getting now".
2.) Politicians actually have a pole to help them decided on major subject matters.
3.) People or the masses =/= lobby/company
4.) Don't allow TV commercials that accuse, use half truth, have large opinions(or many), or attack another candidate
5.) Have a requirement for a head of government or a very powerful position to have either past political experience or attended law school (President, Governor, Congress)
Kiori's personal opinions
Direct democracy
Why not?
If something goes wrong you don't have a representative to blame, you have your own stupid self to blame. XD

Does anyone really have any doubts which way I was supporting?
Think about this, too - with the exception of the blip around Chicago, and the blip that is East St. Louis - the rest of the entire state of Illinois voted red instead of blue.
Charles Krauthammer basically said that this election was basically a return to the status quo ante pre 2006, because with the exception of parts of the Northeast, the big cities in the middle (Chicago, St. Louis, and to my chagrin, even Indianapolis), and the granola state, everything else in this country IS red territory. The actual net change versus how things were in 2006 is a +10 in the house, not the +65 just from Tuesday.
Now what'll be interesting is in 732 days, the NEXT general election. Hillary supporters are still out there, and aren't letting go of their dream. The south - long a bastion of the Democrat Party - no longer is. Actually finding an actual southern Democrat is nearly impossible now - only 19 out of more than 180 seats made it - and that includes the Blue Dogs.
Do the Republicans have to compromise with Obama and the still Democrat led Senate? Hell, no. They've seen their marching orders from the public this election. If - and I admit that it is a big if - Boehner doesn't listen to people like DeMint then they'll hand it all back to the Dems in 2012, because the Tea Party WILL in time supplant the Republican Party - separately if need be.
It's still amazing and amusing how all of the dirty tricks always seem to come from the Dem side of things. Seems that in some of the races they've suddenly found whole boxes of ballots that hadn't been turned in before - and the votes are all coming up (D). Amazing how that happens every single time. Remember that Al Franken ended up going to the Senate on found ballots - and the actual vote difference was only 350 when all the ballots were counted. Of course, they also pointed out about 5 months after the election results were certified that 500 ballots that went towards Franken ended up coming from prison inmates that didn't actually HAVE the right to cast a ballot - which means he's in the Senate due to vote fraud.
Pity poor Keith Olberman from MSNBC. Seems that it's okay for him to complain that the parent company of Fox News donated to the Republican Party - even if Fox News itself didn't... (although he'd never admit that). But darn - now that the election is over, seems that he violated the ethics clause in his contract and donated to the Democrats - and even worse, he got caught... and now he's looking for a job...
(Sorry, this could run on for a while. I'll cut it short now.)

*chuckles* I'm sure you were first in line to demand that Pat and Joe find themselves suspended for ethics violations as well.
I do enjoy the heightened interest in the political process that I've witnessed since the last presidential election. It will be interesting to see what comes of the tea party, while it's difficult to distinguish some of their politics from the Republican party a theoretical divergence to a three party political system is an appealing notion. If only to see how it pans out. Not very good science I know.
Assuming Christ doesn't come in his space ship to pick up all of the (white) teaparty members before the next general election that is.
That being said I really do enjoy sitting back and watching the delightful livid fury displayed by the Us vs Them crowds. The blue vs red and red vs blue folk. You know the ones. The ones who could vote if you put a voting card in front of them that read something like this:
Big guy you're voting for (fill in one)
Republican _____ Democrat ______
The folk who're more comfortable with terms like regimes rather than representatives.
