I'll only go from my own experience which means much of these decisions is not only based on the ships I've used but also the equipment they were deployed with which gave my overall experience

Best Light Fighter: Arrow
Best: Heavy Fighter: Karasu
Best: Very Heavy fighter: Manta fond memories
Best Bomber: Kaichou ;)
Best: Freighter: Camara
Best Transport: Ryuujin far less docking issues then other large tranports
Best Gunboat: Ahoudari been to the darkest recess of Sirius with this
Best Cruiser: Kagutsuchi
Best Battlecruiser: Never flown one, maybe Necrosis someday...
Best Battleship: Rheinlands BS :laugh: Turtle Power!
