I'm in the beta:P

I don't know what the video looks like, but the graphics are admittedly superb. Environments are definitely where the engine excels, and the textures are kept pretty high-res in my opinion. I'm just not sure I agree with the cartoon stylisation in some points. I would have been perfectly happy with slightly updated KotOR graphics really.

How about gameplay? How about battle system? Something like KOTOR?

Ugh, I'm not supposed to give intricate details or anything, but I think I'm at liberty to say that the fighting is good, but the user interface is more appropriate to the typical MMO and that nothing of KotOR except the core mechanics remains unaltered.

The story is engaging from what I've played, and the dialogue is great, but the conversation is very heavily influenced by mass effect, almost to the point where it no longer resembles KotOR; the harrowing moral choices are back (I can recall one that kept me thinking for ten minutes:P), and getting into the role comes as naturally as it did in KotOR, or ME for that matter. Also some polish and immersion is lost due to what I could only call "Dumbing down" for the typical MMO market. No offence typical MMO players.

-Disclaimer-
Please note that all of the above is purely opinion or common knowledge freely available to the public by BioWare and LucasArts sanctioned sources. I do not own Star Wars, or Star Wars: The Old Republic, which I think are the property of LucasArts Entertainment and BioWare/EA/LucasArts respectively.

Ps. Why don't their hands move when they are running?

Damn, really wanted to like this one; with the actual story, voiced dialogues and stuff. But as the deadline approaches it look more and more like some streamlined wow-like mmo. Mass-effected goody/neutral/kill you all choices, level specific sets (with everyone running around in the same stuff), rail like environment and as much rp as.....well wow actually.
This is coming from someone who is more a sandboxy mmo person (as in actually liked playing pre-CU galaxies).
Well, will give it a try anyways.

TOR looked good at first, then all those closed beta vids starting coming out and took all the fun away. I really hope later on they rehaul the way the game is played or at least they come out with an expansion that does, because if they don't its going to be WoW with dialog choices in the SW universe.
