With Star craft 2 coming out soon, I thought I would ask this question. Post here to explain why your favorite race is the best . . .

Me ? ? ? . . . I like them all, but I'm a little sided towards the Terrans. :cool:

My answer? They all suck cause Starcraft sucks. Sorry to be unpopular but I always hated that derivative POS. That Total Annihilation came out before it and was better than most RTS' for years after... well it makes me pretty elitist about games like that. No tactical depth, repetitive base building schemes. It wasn't even a battle against other people, just yourself and wether you could could twitch out a bajilion Zerg Hives in 8 and a half minutes or not.

No who was the best? Arm for the win! Core can go to hell!

I support Funk. Total Annihilation was an awesome game, far superior to Starcraft. I'm not saying that Starcraft sucked, but I never really got into it. That said, I vote for the Terrans, just because I hate the other two races.

I hope Starcraft II is better than Warcraft III. WC3 had great graphics and a great story, but sucked when played outside of the single player campaign.

Unless I'm horribly mistaken, which I don't think I am, one of the big designers for Total Annihilation is creating a new game that is very similar. (Although, I'm not sure if it's considered a sequel.)

I can't remember the name, my brother's followed it a bit, though, you'd have to ask him.

Back on topic: Strangely enough, I never liked Starcraft either. I don't think it's because of the gameplay, but rather because the general theme didn't fit well with my tastes. If I had to choose, though, I'd say zerg just because they're completely organic.

Fun game, but it never blew my skirt up. Or at least it wouldn't if I wore skirts. Not that I wear them, that would be weird. Except for sometimes on Wednesday nights.

I'll go with the Zerg, always thought they were fun.

Not "technically" a sequel to TA, since it's by a different game company than the original, but it's made by the same game designer and is considered the "spiritual successor".
