We're in the faction for the exact same reasons you listed as 1 through 5. And a few more. The term closed economy is not precise, because you can get credits out, just not in. It is a reliable source of income. We dislike powermongering corporate profiteers the same way. And we sure like a challenge (those who don't never make it in, actually).
And yes, we are a trading and mining faction. Our key is stealth.
Quote:Well the OSI is always open for recruitment, we do contract runs at times.
Quote:Maybe Krugers Minerals? Lot of things are going on actually around us...
Quote:Well, lad, you have RepEx and IMG|. Both with good RP to go along.
All the above fails to show me why I should join those named factions. Sorry but you need to say more than that.
I would not be interested in Gallic trading, due to the lack of routes sorry.
I'll keep this open for a little longer so that you may all reply and give a chance to others to show why the think a faction not already named is good for myself with in reason.
Well... There's Freeport 10. I mean the station, not a faction. Currently there's a group of about 8 or 9 of us centred around the place. The arrangement has alternately been labelled, "a confederation of indys," "a loose organisation of madmen" and "a group of people who like flying with each other."
The RP is pretty varied, and revolves around keeping the Freeport supplied, while juggling relations with surrounding factions, i.e. the Outcasts, IMG and lately, EDGE Bounty Hunters. This can mean dropping supplies off on Malta, hiring out your services to some IMG miners on the shared Dacite, then chatting to assorted Hunters.
We all RP as residents, so it gives all the stuff we do a strange community feeling as well. A full respository of information can be found here. I guess we'll be opening a watering hole soon too, and we've a big event in the works regarding the construction of a station shield.
I'm hoping good things can come of this. (Alternately, zonerzonerzoner.)
IMG| because we can make credits enough to keep an all fleet flying around, you are able to create mining char, hauler, fighters and bombers to the defence wing. The Taus and the Omegas are pretty much interesting in both RP and Pew Pew, so a char(s) you can have will have both of those.
RepEx, because of the credits making also, you can fly around meeting interesting people and pirates. You can also create a fighter(s) to defend the convoys.
In all, its all up to you if you want to powermine or powertrade, i don't do that.
1. That I need a way to bring in some credits to support my characters. BMM is a mining faction. plenty of people in dublin, we also have a joint channel with bowex, so you can call em if you have ore to ship.
2. Have a reliable source of income.
Did i mention we mine ores and sell of for lots:D
3. I dislike the idea of power trading/mining.
As do I. Nobody is saying you have to. see above.
4. That I enjoy creating interesting and sometimes challenging characters. You can do that in any faction.
5. Enjoyment of roleplaying Well, dublin is in bretonia, and you know what crap goes on in there, but that doesnt make it unplayable. heck tau-23 has its own slew of problems!
Join convoy they are nice people and have the numbers to have funny convoys.
No I am not member of them.
