Rorry's Renegades is a network of criminals throughout Sirius working together for sake of power. Their operations include Piracy, Technology Theft, and Terrorism. Their leadership is akin to a Idealistic Mafia, with Rorry and his "Ring Leaders" Jose, Turrok, and 'The Gator' controlling smaller groups of Renegades through promises of freedom, riches, and the idea that they are "superior" than all those around them; "Kings of Sirius." Rheinland is their staging ground for Piracy, taking what cargo is profitable and charging all who pass. These operations sustain their terrorist efforts in Gallia. Through their devotion to destruction of the Gallic Royalists they have found support from almost all unlawful entities withing Gallia, especially the Brigands, who heavily support the Renegades through open access to their ship and weapon designs. The strikes against the Corsair nation has a more personal nature for the Renegades, stemming from their leader's past. Rorry pushes the idea that the Corsairs are violators of the "Code" of the Renegades, and must eliminated. This "Code" has recently taken a more prominent role in the Renegades with the rise of the propaganda transmission The Haven. With the "Code" finding it's way into the public eye, the Renegades are gathering more Murders, Terrorists, Smugglers, Pirates, Assassins, and even just average pilots looking for a better life each day. Due to the support of the Gallic criminal underworld, the Renegades are hauling out what ships and guns they can as fast as they provide money for their construction...

Renegade History

John Roary Santiago, better known as Rip Rorry is the soul leader of the Renegades. He is a bastard child who's father, a Corsair, sent him off at a young age because of his embarrassment of Rorry's origins. Rorry spent his teen years with the Omicroners in Theta until he was able to skillfully fly his own ship. He then set out to "prove" himself to his father and the Corsairs as a whole.

His solo piracies began not to far from Theta: Sigma 13. Finding a haven at Yangi, he claimed "kinghood" over the Sigma lanes and taxed all those that passed by. Excluding of course the Junkers, who gave him a place of refuge and rest, Zoners, who essentially raised him, and the Corsairs, who he tried ever so hard to prove to them he was worthy of their notice. Abandonment from the Corsairs took a toll on Rorry, his mind mad with the desire to gain their approval. This madness is what spurred his self title of "King." Thinking that dominance over others would raise the "respect" level of the Corsairs toward him. His self obsession grew immense, and he expanded his hunting grounds...

The GMG quickly took notice of Rorry in their space, and as time went on Rorry found he couldn't always remain in their space without risking his life. To make himself scarce in the GMG's eyes, he moved some of his operations to the Frankfurt system. Spending his time hunting back and forth from Sigma 13 to Frankfurt to keep on the run from the GMG. He still called himself "King of the Sigmas," but a new threat was biting at his heels...

A Rheinland freelancer group lead by one "Adam Spire" soon noticed Rorry and his solo antics. Because Rorry was of no serious threat to the Rheinland government, but still a nuance, Adam Spire's "[FL]" group found themselves in the perfect position to dedicate time to hunting Rorry. The "King" had no where safe to run...

He took a break... Traveling Sirius in an attempt to find a place he fit into... This journey was the biggest turning point in his life, and the start of the Renegades. During his time in Bretonia he was contacted by a young man by the name of "Alan Write." A brilliant mind exiled by the lawfuls due to his extensive knowledge of Nomad Research and other military secrets. Alan had not contacted Rorry for any trivial reason... They were brothers, though 4 years apart and having different upbringings. Alan grew up with the mother of the two sons, in Liberty, and of course Rorry with the father, a Corsair. Alan had with him a loyal group of pilots, and offered to assist Rorry in the future if he ever needed. With this new knowledge, Rorry continued to explore Sirius. With time he found himself in a foreign space, beyond the Taus... Gallia.

Rorry had not gone far into Gallic space before he was stopped by the local Navy. When passing words he heard mention of their "King." For a moment Rorry thought he had found his final adversary, a man with whom to battle titles with. Little did he know the forces of Gallia were far larger than any group he had even encountered before. He decided to fight the naval forces before him, but was quickly outgunned and almost died, had it not been for a group known as the Brigands and an independent Freelancer that came to his aid...

And so Rorry came into contact with the "+LE+" of the Brigands, and the unusually large Bretonian scumbag known as "Gator." Gator was in debt to the Brigands, for unknown reasons, and was serving a 10 year sentence as their personal dirty job man to pay back what he owed. Rorry was quick to pay the Brigands for saving his life, and after talks with their leadership, he found a mutual hate for the Gallic King and the Royalists. He wanted to keep contact with the Legion, as his personal vendetta against the Royalists had been sparked. He paid for Gator's owed debts, granting him his freedom, but he tasked the large man to remain in the area and to keep contact with the Brigands for him. Rorry then left Gallia for the time being, but intent on heading back to "play games" with the Royalist scum who's King was "better" than Rorry...

In the Tau's Rorry received a most disturbing message from his brother... Alan had visual proof that their father had planned and murdered their mother years age when they were but children. Rorry was furious. He made his way to Planet Crete as fast as possible, where he found his father drinking with his 'amigos.' Stabbing his father and killing multiple Corsairs, Rorry fled Gamma. He pledged to forever hunt his former father's "family" till his death.

[color=#FF6600]♦ Birth of the Renegades

Back in the Frankfurt area, Rorry called his brother, Alan Write (Santiago), to his aid. Rorry now had a small group of men at his command, and he always kept an eye out for more men willing to join his ranks. Together they formed what is now "Rorry's Renegades." They found that, with their combined efforts they could make far more credits, taking entire transport's cargos and then smuggling it to a suitable selling point. Rorry and his men became rich beyond all their dreams.

But it was not enough... Rorry wanted to wreak unending revenge on the Corsars, whom he despised as a race, believing them to be corrupted and decrepit. And he wished to continue his "games" against the Gallic King who had unnerved him, and to tighten the ties with the unlawfuls of Gallia whom he had found a liking to, as well as a strong following of Renegades flowing from their ranks.

Rorry got back into contact with the Brigands, specifically the Legion of the Damned, agreeing on a deal to trade information of Sirius and to hunt the Royalists in exchange for technology in the Legion's possession and credits. With his new found technology from the Brigands and a small "army" at his back, he was ready to wage havoc on the Corsairs and Gallics alike. But a small war has costs... Ties with other unlawful of Gallia were made to secure allies in their plights against the Royalists. Each day the Renegade force in Gallia grows, taking up arms as dedicated soldiers for the Brigands and Council; and each day Renegade smuggler pilots ship out more Brigand vessels and parts for their wide spread use by Renegades abroad in the Omicrons/Omegas and Rheinland.

The Renegades also made contact with the Outcasts, securing a deal to get paid for killing the Corsairs, so as to cover the costs of un-ending combat. To further gain the trust of the Outcasts, Rorry has delegated a select few smugglers to continuously supply and ship Slaves and Cardimine for the Outcasts. Though this deal is only known by a VERY select few. Since then the mutual hate for the Corsairs has made the bond between the Outcasts and the Renegades strong. It is rumored that recently, the Outcasts have begun giving harbor, repairs, even vessels and weapons to the Renegades in exchange for their ongoing efforts against the Corsair people.

It didn't take long before word of a growing force in Rheinland reached Liberty ears. The Renegades soon found support from the Liberty Rogues, who demonstrated their favoritism of the reckless Renegades by giving them just short of a fleet in Rogue vessels to continue their work. To this day these Rogue craft are used by the "higher up" members of the Renegades.

With the growth of the Renegades numbers growing faster than Rorry could ever imagine, he needed to form a structure to his band of thieves and murderers. The "Ring Leaders" were formed. A circle of the oldest and/or most experienced Renegades brought together to put order to the great numbers flocking in. Turok, Jose, and Rorry became the first "Three" to lead, with the option of more to come. Together they created a "code" of sorts to live by, one that would keep the Renegades banded together under one form of thought. The Haven was their beacon to the people of Sirius. A call to the outcasts of society, a call to the 'Renegades.'

[color=#FF99FF]Hunting/War Grounds - The killing of Corsairs can happen anywhere inside of the Omicrons, Omegas, Sigmas, and Rheinland. The killing of Royalists is limited to Gallia and bordering systems. (NOT Bretonia)

Activities in other areas of space is limited to movement THROUGH that space. No hostile actions should be taken outside of the ZOI.

Renegade Mercenary Role Play

♦ 1 [color=#FFCC00]- Strictly hunt Corsairs, Gallic Royal Navy, and Gallic Royal Police ships.

♦ 2 - Do not offer or accept requests to kill any ship other than the above mentioned groups. (eg- Do not offer to help Outcasts kill IMG, but you can accept a request from Hessians to assist in killing Corsairs.)

♦ 3 - Do not fly along side Pirate ID'd Renegade charicters. (eg- No flying with them so you can pop off RM or other vessels together.) Stick to what you are supposed to do and ONLY that: Killing Corsairs/GRN/GRP.

♦ 4 - If you are "Sinner." tagged role play to be a follower of Gator, all other merc ID'd characters can choose whether they are dedicated to Gator or to Rorry.

♦ 5 - All targets should know they were attacked by Rengades before they die.

♦ 6 - You're employer is not important, targets don't need to know who is paying you to hunt them.

Renegade Pirate Role Play

♦ 1 [color=#FFCC00]- Stay within the Pirate ZOI. This is very important, there should be no pirating in Taus, Gallia, or anywhere beyond Rheinland and its bordering systems.

♦ 2 - Role Play beyond just the generic 2milordia pirate. Treat traders and enemies as "lesser." Do not go straight from the demand to halt to the demand of credits/cargo. Following the demand to 'halt' give them a chance to ask what you want, who you are, etc etc. Basically: ROLE PLAY

♦ 3 - If a trader/miner shows they can/are willing to Role Play then go with it in detail SO LONG AS: They are not trying to run while getting you to talk, lawful forces are not inbound or possibly so, they are just buying time. Generally, a trader is pirated for less if he offers roleplay instead of running, calling for help, etc.

♦ 4 - Try not to actively seek out engagements with anyone except targets for piracy. (eg- If you fight lawfuls, it should be because they found you, not you them.)

This will get done over time, personally naming 70+ links is a pain. Maybe I'll just link to a doc with all the links.

I'm not against the RR becoming official, as I think its a fantastic faction. Just looks more like this request is an effort to buy three ships that can bypass the Tech Nerf system than a request for official status.

I'm no fan of the Scorpin because I highly doubt a band of pirates the size of Rorry's crew could pool enough credits to fund the research needed to do what was done in the forum stories. I say that because the four houses have far greater resources and they've yet to do such a thing, at least anything that has been made canon lore. If you're allowed that, then any group larger than your own should be allowed to write a story and obtain a spec op ID scorp as they'd be more than capable of the same. I will say that involving the leaders of the Wilde and K'Hara factions has its merit.

The cruisers? Sure - as long as you can't use them to pirate or shoot transports of any kind. That is, unless the rules are removed that allow vanilla pirate factions to use caps to pirate and the no caps on transport rule is removed. Basically, they'd be role play devices finding themselves unable to take part in most of your factins in game activity. I hold this opinion because you aren't a vanilla faction and I don't think any non vanilla faction deserves such things if the vanilla factions don't get them. That and I bring up the finicial obligation that would come with maintaining, repairing, and running two vessels of that size.

Just my opinions, minus what seems like an attempt to purchase SRPs, I don't see a reason not to give you lads a nod.

Been with the RR for some time several months ago, haven't played since then but if they're anything close to what they were before, I say they deserve the chance.

There's been much much worse factions who have been made official and the RR actually had more than a modicum of RPing compared to other factions, especially certain pirates one.

I see absolutely no reason not to give them the chance of becoming official save for being lazy and I'm completely with Veygaar, anyone in RR and whoever else that also believes that they should have a chance at this.
