No one is more awesome than Horus Lupercal! That said... Maybe a change is upon us. I've seen more and more traders with CAU 7 or 8 lately. And the caps seem to be satisfied with CAU 4 and 5. Maybe it's time for a lolraid to gamma in CAU 8 Luxury Liners. The discussion around CAU 8 is already going on. Everybody, including me, keep yapping about how they want RP to improve here. The effects that the heavier armored transports bring, is that more and more traders don't stop for some RP when they get halted. They simply plod along to the nearest base, because they know they have a good chance to make it. They don't waste time on syupid things like RP'ing, when they have a chance to save their cargo. And I can understand them. Especially since they can go on trading in the system, even if they dock.

A Luxury Liner with CAU 8, means a total armor of 720.000 units. And it will still be able to carry 4000 units cargo. I can totally understand that if you're carrying passengers of some sort. It makes perfect sense to have a CAU 8 then. But maybe it's a time to use our ships the way they were supposed to. I.e. a tanker should only be able to carry gas or liquids. A BS should have a couple of hundred units of cargospace after CAU is mounted. A liner should only be allowed to carry humans. And so on...

I used to trade in my LABC before I got rid of it. Cap IV with antifighter loadout. I only really used it for taking Scientists from various LSF/LN bases to other LSF/LN bases. Not really OORP.
