So why are the Order and the Hogosha allies? Some unfortunate by-product of the Corsair-Order relationship?
I mean, looking at the Hogosha, I really don't think they'd give a damn about Aliens, being mobsters and all, saving humanity is nowhere near the top of their list.
Anyone else notice that the Blood Dragons and the Order are allies, and that the Order are closer to the Junkers than the Hogosha? Heck, they're Junkers, the Order are just more people to do business with, unlike the Hogosha who are kinda jackasses to the Junkers.
I'm assuming the initial reason for the alliance, or the public reason anyway, was due to the Order wanting to ensure no dangerous artifacts end up in the wrong hands. The Hogosha being the handling company, it makes sense to work with them.
This, combined with the Junker's general odd roleplay sometimes, no doubt influenced Order/Junker relations in a more negative way.
Although Junkers are the main artifact providers outside of Kusari, which is a market of 3 houses, including the largest, most commercialised and most 'interested in artifacts' house (Liberty).

Artifacts aren't Nomad. They're basically the same as what Time Team dig up in random English country-sides. Pots and pans of a long, long dead civilisation.
The Artifacts that the Hogosha and Junkers smuggle, harmless in every way.
The only reason Artifacts are illegal is the doing of the Nomads, with the infected people during the Nomad war. They convinced some important people to make Artifacts contraband, so that the little tinkertoy (the one that the strange smoking guy stole), would eventually be confiscated and end up back in their hands.
It was the Nomad's method of finding a needle in a haystack, other than that, 99.9999999999% of the Artifacts in Sirius are worthless junk.
The Hogosha would be less friendly to the Order in this situation anyway, some crazy Xenophobic Terrorist group messing with your business? No thanks.

NOT TERRORISTS.
But I agree, we're a tad bit xenophobic.
Order should forget Hogosha and talk to the Junkers.
Last time I'm sayin it.
