Meh, as far as I see it, blaming Discoveries problems on the actions of people who can PvP better than you can is just stupid.

Blaming it on Admins who are doing a good job given the situation, in fact a better better than most could expect of them, as they do it for free, is also stupid.


Now, as I see it, Disco is not dying, there are no terminal issues that are killing the server. This is just pointless fearmongering.

Yes there may be some annoying occurrences, but I still have fun most of the time, and I'd wager I'm not the only one, or else no one would play anymore, and I don't think completely replacing the Admin team with people inexperienced in the job would be a good idea, as it would probably cause more harm than good.

Someone will eventually get you.. and 30 minutes of fun isn't worth hours of anger, annoyance or whatever.

One OORP line in system, one random newbie asking for something stupid, pvpwhore, even npc can push you out of the line of happiness and make you sad and ruin good RP or PvP that's happening already.

Two things, one:
Relax. If you're angry for hours something is wrong with you. I get plenty frustrated playing this game (Sina shotgunning me that son of a ...), but I just let it go 30 seconds later and call him names laugh it up or whatever.
Two:
If one line of OORP or one question from a NEWBIE or NPCs can put you off the edge, you need some counseling or something because none of that is a big deal. New players ask questions, you answer them, they thank you (in broken english, maybe but whatever).

Sounds to me like you just need to realize this is just a game and that it is not a "perfect" role play environment.

Absolutely. New blood is necessary, but having new blood means they'll make mistakes and mistakes cause Q_Q and Q_Q causes RAEG and RAEG causes Cannon to drink himself into an early grave.

Actually, looking back at your post, the only two "bad" players listed that are admins are Jihad Joe and Dieter (who admittedly do suck, but that's just because they're lazy and don't do anything). Zelot is a mod, and you have him listed as bad because of some stupid joke I started. I don't think Dab is a mod anymore. Zeltak, Naukie, and Enojado have nothing to do with the administration or moderators apart from Jihad Joe and maybe Dieter, who as I said before don't do anything so where's the trouble there? Your reasoning behind pointing out "bad" members of this community is that Zeltak likes to shoot people in a spaceship combat game and Jihad Joe for liking to talk to them.

The "good" people you listed, you listed just because you like them, not based on their merit as an upstanding member of the community. You've picked people you've had relatively good experiences with. And from your own post I can see that you seem to be okay with Ench now, even though she kills just as many people, if not more, than Zeltak does with exactly the same amount of role play or reason. You are simply reinforcing an "us vs. them" mentality in your own head and implanting the idea in others.

I am of the opinion that this is a thinly veiled flame thread pointed at specific members of the community you don't like (while namedropping your friends).

And like all flame threads, there should be a lock.

While they are popular, they are usually not suited to being an Admin... and of course the calls of favoritism would ring louder.

I don't usually pay attention to these kind of things, what I do is get a group of people to RP with and that is all I need and want from Disco, I leave these kind of things to the rest of you..:PAnd I won't mind a change, unless its one that with screw things up.

But there is always a transition.

The system in place at least gives you some experienced Admins/Moderators to help train and... reign in the over exuberant new ones who have stuff to prove.

Remove this, and you will have Admins that are unpredictable, and random.

Actually Sina said couple of really good points. And he is hated probably cause he can shoot more space ships with his space ship in space ship shooting game.

It's funny how people are taking sides, screaming about bias while they're doing it as well.

But still....your forum fights make me giggle, hey at least some good has come out of it, my hangover passed after reading whole thing now.

Oh while we're on internet and can't beat the living hell out of each other cause someone shot our space ship, you can always take a picture of your "male parts" and see who is "more" right.

Now before its too late and you discover you have far more grudges towards each other, go in game and shoot your space ships you space ship shooters.
