If your not actively working to do the same while denying him that chance you will be outpaced in these long drawn out dogfights. The winners of dogfights is usually the one who has made the least mistakes so don't practice trying to be fancy, instead just practice to keep your reticle on the enemy.

Oh so it's all dps? I mostly just want to explode the guy and end it since It really makes me mad that he's not already poped and I still don't get the frag, so I tend to "nuke" (not the mines)

Well, a quick kill in a Fighter dual is the exception not the norm and is usually the result of very unmatched skills or technical difficulties. I've pulled some quick kills with a lucky passing joust using a combo of debs, MR and Nukes but it's not a situation that reliably occurs often. Particularly when both pilots are decent pilots. Most duals last quite a long time as each are jockeying for optimal position.

Oh so that would mean missiles would actually work more for me? I mean, with the loadouts I usually have I lower someone to around half hull, but that's with class 10 and 7 for more ammo, I would just put in more launchers and they would instapop someone, along Starkillers

But if guns make fights that long.... I can't stand taking so long to take someone down, I'm guessing that missiles are REALLY more for me then:cool:

Unless there's a gun loadout that does that, like plasmas or some codie. Is there one?

So, you really want to get better, eh? Good.

Some brainstorming for you:

-start up with high refire sprays, stay away from codes until you mastered 2.00
-make sure not to mix projectile speeds. (MR in Shieldbustergroup, lol??)
-do not trust the predictor
-aim for static targets, when not moving, then with slow moving, then finally when moving like in combat
-a lack of accuracy is not always the only reason for defeat
-do not trust the predictor
-learn the basic combat moves and how to apply them
-observe other duels
-watch what your opponent is doing in combat
-accept defeat
-realize that you will improve slowly, but (wait)
-if you don't give up you WILL get better
-breathe
-pick you opponents wisely, no shame to say 'no' to folks that keep bashing you against the wall/ trolling you
-be polite
-if you lost, try to find your error
-don't loose a word about Fight Club

Cheers.

That biplane just shot down my jet!

Ok I would decide to pick them

' Wrote:-start up with high refire sprays, stay away from codes until you mastered 2.00
R: I was told to use 2.00, but now lasers, can't check which is better for practicing now:wacko:

-make sure not to mix projectile speeds. (MR in Shieldbustergroup, lol??)
R: I dont do that anyways

-do not trust the predictor
R: I miss even more when not doing it

-aim for static targets, when not moving, then with slow moving, then finally when moving like in combat
R: done lots of times, I missed several times, even at point blank:laugh:

-a lack of accuracy is not always the only reason for defeat
R: evasion is too, and when I'm evading I can't aim

-learn the basic combat moves and how to apply them
R: was helped with that a while ago, but I wanna just explode people not lose time with fancy tactics and stuff

-observe other duels
R: boring

-watch what your opponent is doing in combat
R: done that too, lag messes it up, and bullets that go besides me hit:wacko:

-accept defeat
R: NO!

-realize that you will improve slowly, but (wait)
R: I'm not gonna waste time like that again!

-if you don't give up you WILL get better
R: yeeeah, tell that to the 2 years I wasted training and actually got worse at it:laugh:

-breathe
R: I'm an aerobic organism what do you expect:lol:

-pick you opponents wisely, no shame to say 'no' to folks that keep bashing you against the wall/ trolling you
R: why when I could simply explode them when they do it? it's way too boring not being able to blow up everyone

-be polite
R: And efficient and have skill to blow up EVERYONE I meet (even caps) that's what I wanna do

-if you lost, try to find your error
R: yeah did that several times, and that's how I found out my aiming is the worst in game

-don't loose a word about Fight Club
R:.....wat?

There;)

Yeah, but to improve yourself with a missile loadout you can't spam but instead develop some skill with that to avoid as many missiles going astray as possible. Also shields regenerating on it's own time without bats is more poignant for a missile user since you are at limited resources and are, in effect, trying to reduce your enemies defensive resources before you run out of your offensive ones. Now I'm not kidding about skill because missiles are defeatable not just easily with CMs, but missiles are also defeatable by simple timed movement. A veteran can draw out the length of a dual with a missile user just as he can with an opponant using guns. The guns don't run out of ammo.....

First, ignore everything that's posted here.

Then go to conn and fight fight fight fight fight fight x 1 million times, with any gun, ship, setup you desire to be good at. I literally mean a million times, maybe more than that. Respawn and pew pew pew, respawn and pew pew pew. No waste of time with talking or getting pointers from someone.

It's really the only way. Be sure that anyone who's mildly good at pews achieved that from this secret trick above, mainly. If you find yourself still dying after 3 months, you are doing it right. 6 months, you are doing it right. A year, you are doing it right again. Cuz you will keep on dying, and you will see only the deaths.

Being a good pewer is not something you should desire, nothing changes.

I still like to watch good duels...

And try to come to Conn when there are fighters/bombers, not only caps like tonight...

I'm back! Wink

Well, I'm pretty good launching missiles, just launch them right and you hit no matter what, and they hit REAL hard, and also whith debs, so when shields go up then you shot them down again, them make him eat the missiles with his face when coming to you or bringing them to him:laugh:

For CMs there's dummy missiles, like a low class missile to lure the other guy to shoot CDs and stuff, when he does drop the entire armory on him and watch the nuke explode a bug. Also guns don't run out of ammo, but I run out of patience for aiming and evading:wacko:

:shok:.......I'm moving back to missiles if it really takes that long:shok:

Might actually take even longer. PvP skill isn't something you get over a few weeks, expecially not on a non-PvP server.

However, you can make that time shorter by training with people, who really know how to PvP well.
