What is with the hostility? Have my approach been that hard?
I asked you a simple question. Do you believe this type of tactic is ok? Clearly by your refusal to be reasonable it is.
I do not control [KNF], clearly, I'm part of a little group. Regardless, I clearly stated that I had no problem with any part of the fight until your IAB abused a clear game-mechanics, running to an immortal object that can hurt the enemy and there is nothing they can do about it.
Of course we engaged, we wanted to give them a nice fight, and we expected all of them to engage and we would have no issues with it, as stated by my post. I have yet to see [KNF] run to stationary battleships, because of the simple fact that every fight is near the Planet Leeds.
I'm not whining. Do you see hostility in my words? Or strong words applied? Or direct complaining? I'm asking, you, a simple question only.
But alright. If you don't care. Then I will not care.
Let's play this game your way. Time for a real war then.

I answered your question.

If it was near the Tau-31 gate/Stokes, you would've done the same thing.

If you weren't whining, you would've went to the Kudos thread and said "Kudos guys for the fight in Leeds." Instead of coming here...whining.

Funny. I never cared in the first place. A game is a game. If you want to whine about it feel free. I'm pretty sure 95% of Discovery knows I'm an ass at times. So, it's GG.
So, let me ask, Why were the IAB at islay base two days ago? Right point blank to it? RP wise, bretonia doesent know about its location, so perhaps you could NOT camp an enemys base in the future?

Responding to a call from a BAF officer who chased a Corsair to Islay. You might want to tell your allies that they might want to lose the BAF ships before leading them to your base no one is suppose to know about. Because frankly, if we're not suppose to know about it in RP. And RP is anything considered from chasing an unlawful to just talking. Then...It's not really our fault, and before you go pinning it on us as our fault. I'd kindly suggest getting your facts straight before you assume we were camping Islay to begin with.
' Wrote:I don't consider running to stationary defenses legit. But everyone does it. The KNF do it, we do it, tough luck eh? War is war. Frankly, if you don't want that to happen, then why bother fighting us in Leeds anyways? Why not just go back to Kusari and fight there.
Saw this and decided to comment...
I was not at the situation, so, what I am reading is more or less secondhand. But, as a player who's been in a few fights resembling what has been described, I have to say, that this is a bit annoying, and that it is a bit of a low tactic. But there's nothing I can do to stop people from doing it, so, it's not a major issue for me.
Before anyone goes off and has either a massive ragefest or bursts a blood vessel, let me put it this way: Discovery FL does not have auto-team balance, unlike the 100 other multiplayer competitive shooter games out there at the moment. As a result, we have to do a lot of the balancing on our own.
We're all human, and we all make mistakes sometimes - let's count this one as a mistake and put it behind us. Trying to figure out the best way to balance fights is difficult, if not aggravating to do when you're getting shot at from all directions, especially if you have to type.
This lack of team balance is why we try to have organized events, this is why we do not bring solaris battleships to fighter fights, this is why we don't have caps botfeeding fighters, etc...
I know it's difficult, but I am also sure that both sides will try to keep it to a reasonable level in the future.

Now that's what I call a constructive post, Thank you elgatodiablo. Being in several fights myself I know the situation is hard to get control of, which is why many people just say screw it and have at it. Generally back when I was in the BAF before all the crap started happening, both sides would try to even out their people with others in reserve, now everyone throws every ship in.
I've noticed twice now that we've been engaged by multiply Kusari vessels, even when we out number the current enemy by one.

I feel that the underlying problem for everyone in this game(not just the Brets or KU), is this overwhelming desperation to win. I think that if both sides can mentally agree to a bit of a moderate position or some kind of middle ground, ultimately, everyone would have more fun.
The thing is, it's not fun to fight a solarizer in a fighter/bomber, it's not fun to shoot at any enemy who sits outside a BS waiting for a cruiser patrol to show up, it's not fun to fight 3v5, and it's not fun to fight people who are getting resupplied constantly.
I think that if both sides in this case can say to each other, "Look, hey, we're all playing this game for fun, so, let's do this: 'We keep numbers as even as possible; if we see 4 X v 5 Y, if we show up in 3 X's, only one will jump in; if we run to the stationary BS/base, we will dock, not camp outside; if we get caps, we will try to get them out of the fight; etc..."
Obviously, there are things out of your control, however. I remember during my days leading the BPA trying to call off a Bret Battleship that decided to engage 3 Corsairs myself and another pilot were fighting. There was nothing we could do the BS, the Sairs raged at us. We shouted at it, but 2 Hussars were not going to do anything to it. But, there are things we can do, and we can start by being good to one another to make this experience as fun for everyone as possible.
I look forward to seeing one of you guys in space on one of my characters soon.
