Well, Nukes and Screamers usually take up what seems to be a 'box' on the energy bar, but that's an estimation since mine are lines.

The energy consumption of mines becomes important, when you fire dry and cannot lay a mine. Happens in the heat of battle, took me some time to realize that my energy was too low instead of a faulty button.

There are ships smaller and with less energy then VHF's, and in certain situation mine energy drain makes a lot of difference. It would be great if someone could point me to the list.
