She stuttered slightly.[color=#FF99FF] "You... you mean... they wanted to..." Dresners nodding stopped her from finishing the sentence. [color=#FF99FF] "But... why me? What... did I do to... deserve this?"
Looking at the wall in front of him again as his back was at the girl, he answered.
- "Ve don't 'Know', but rather... 'Suspekt'. Vhat vould be zeir motivations und next steps is unknovn to us, but ze same thing ve are trying to find out right now."
Then turning around and facing the girl again, he continued.
- "So, tell me about zeir kommunications vith you."
And stood where he was, waiting for the girl's answer.
[color=#FFFFFF]She looked at him.[color=#FF99FF] "Those things... they were able to understand when I talked and... they understood what I said, it seemed like... like they were able to understand every word spoken, even if someone else... near them said it.
And when they communicated with me... There was a short headache mostly, it didnt hurt much and the pain... it decreased every time it happened. And then they showed me pictures... or placed thought in my head. I felt that those... somehow werent my thoughts, but I could understand them, like... as if they were my own.
I can still remember that one picture, they showed me how Corsairs and... Hessians killed each other. I saw such things every day back then, but this picture had... it had something like sadness in it. Yes... I think thats the best way to explain it." She took a deep breath, waiting for his next question.
[color=#FFFFFF]She took another deep breath[color=#FF99FF] "They showed me how humans... killed other humans. Pictures of wars, destruction... All the bad things humanity does." She wasnt sure if she really saw those things, but she was sure that improvisation was better then being at this place forever.
She shook her head.[color=#FF99FF] "No... there were just those pictures... they are the only things I can remember more or less clearly..." She gulped. [color=#FF99FF] "I... I am sorry, but I dont know more..."
[color=#FF99FF] "I think not... I... I cant understand why I was so wrong with those beings... I thought that they were good... helpful..." She shook her head. [color=#FF99FF] "I will have to stay away from them in the future..." She hoped that telling him what he wanted to hear, would help her to get back into freedom, to find out if he said the truth. There were still lots of questions, but she didnt want to ask Dresner about those things.
- "Ich don't blame You fur running into a trouble like zat, bekauze you simply didn't know. Ve took you in both to make sure you're not infested, und also make you avare ov ze dangers out in space. Seeing zat all ze tests rezults have been klear, und ve are more or less done here, you'll get klearance to return to space in a few days once your neu ship gets ready. Meanvhile, you are free to spend your time in public sektors ov Freital und get to know your hessen volks better."
Then held a finger up before the girl could speak, and added.
- "But vhat ve ask you to do, iz to alvays stay klose to Hessen bases und don't vander too far off in open space, und report back to me direktly if you get into kontact vith either ov Das Wilde or Nomads ever again. Are ve klear on zat?"
