Why is it against the server rules to have OpenSP activated when you play in Multiplayer?

Known as on Discovery RP 24/7:
Thomas_Hill - Train
[KNF]TakajiKimura - Chimera
You may also know me elsewhere as I'll Begin or something including "Volbeat"

According to what I understand it might cause problems, but not against the rules... mines deactivated anyway.

I quote the console mesage :

"Using ANY other mods then discovery is prohibited by server rules, incluiding speed mod"

I think it speaks for itself. You can use the openSP integrated into discovery, but not the other loose one.

Actually, if you look at the discovery mod description:

Quote:8) Never enable Open SP when playing online.

Think it said it somewhere else too, but I can't find it right now.

Is that because it's some sort of cheat or because it will break your game/install in some way?

not sure... I suspect it's number 2, but it could be number 1 too.

Because OpenSP changes mod files in a certain way. And if you'll get caught modding by server operator, eternal ban is guaranteed.
