Eric smiled a bit, he knew this. It wasnt hard, his face relaxes a bit , but he remained standing as he was.

The Power of a Revolution lies with its people. The People control the outcome of the Revolution in many ways. If you do not have the support of the People, you are doomed to fail. This was the doom for past Revolutions. They did not have the support of the People, that crucial support of the People. A Revolution is not simply won by Military Might, but it is also won with the support of the People. If you do not have that, you are doomed.

Eric looked around the room for a bit. It is a dark room ,yet lightly decorated with Awards and Commendations. Eric snapped his view back to Sasha, waiting for her response.

Eric tilted his head shortly, it was a nice curveball, but nothing he couldn't answer. He straightend his head up again and began to speak.

Simple , Comrade, the past Revolutions tried to force their goals and beliefs onto their subject of influence. They wanted to achieve their goals by any mean necessary, including Violence, Covert and Military action , and other ways of influence. They appeared as a Radical Movement that would not stop at any point for any person to become what they want to be, and that will not work.

He looked at Sasha again , he was getting somewhat worried , but he did not show it.

Kirov's continued patronizing and the smugness of this new recruit made his blood boil. The previous recruit did not impress him - none of them ever did. This one...however...

This one was just annoying.

He stood up, the chair underneath him making a harsh scraping of steel against steel. He picked up the pistol, already loaded with a round chambered, and pressed it roughly against the recruits forehead, while staring him dead in the eyes.
With a calm voice, he spoke.

"You have one chance. One chance only."

"Convince me that all of this smug talk and well prepared speeches are not just a clever disguise for a rather unclever spy."

He pulled the hammer back with a loud click.

Eric was caught of guard by the man, who pointed the gun at his forehead, he began to sweat slightly. He had to choose his next words wisely, or be shot.

None of these speeches are in any way prepared. I have studied history in my time in college. I know alot about past revolutions, I may be from liberty, but i am in no way a Spy. I despise actions and corruption by the Navy. I was part in riots on Manhattan against the Corruption in Liberty. I was arrested for it, feel free to check it on the System, i am sure you have the capabilities to do so. I came to the Trotsky today to join the Revolution to end what is going on. I am here to fight for what i believe is right.

Eric looked at Rassid, he was hoping his answer satisfied him. He was nervous, but he was looking death in the face, ready to embrace it.

"Riots."

"You took part in riots. And now you feel that makes you somehow able to pick up a weapon and kill people for a cause."

"By what delusion do you labor to think that you can take life, now, so suddenly, when you have not done so before?"

Eric looked Rassid dead in the Eye. He was quite annoyed by his assumption , but he didn't show it.

Yes, I took part in Riot's because at that time it was what i was able to do. It does not mean i am not willing or able to take a life for the cause. My Past Actions we're done to the extent i could, and now i have come here to join the cause, and do what i have to. I can take a life, and i am willing to if i have to.

Eric still looked Rassid in the eyes, his face expressed Confidence and Seriousness.

Rassid's teeth grinded together, and the muscles at his jaw bunched. The answer was not what he wanted to hear.

"Willing to...if you have to..."

His lip curled just a bit, showing a distinct contempt

"If you have never taken life, then you know nothing about it. I have neither the patience nor inclination to explain to you why killing men is not something to be taken lightly - yet you speak as if murder is somehow noble, adding just enough words to give it a proper weight of conscience, yet its that conscience you are willing to shrug off...'for a cause.'"

He lowered the pistol, and saw the held breath leave the recruits parted lips. It was amusing to Rassid to see that the recruit somehow thought that he was a bit safer without a gun to his head.
He clenched his muscles and buried a fist into the recruits stomach, knocking all the air out of him, and dropping the boy to his knee's as if he was a sack of potatoes. With a gloved hand, he grabbed him by his lapels, and wrenched him to his feet, placing the gun barrel into his neck.

"Now, tell me why the Coalition benefits having someone like you in its ranks...someone who has not taken life, and seems to think murder is just an unfortunate burden to shoulder, much like taking out the garbage - easily done and forgotten...Tell me why we want someone like you, killing for us? Hmm?"

Eric gasped for air as he was punched, he dropped down, breathing heavily as the gun was pointed at his neck

I did not say killing someone was an easy burden, nor did i say it would be taken lightly. I Understand the burden , the meaning of killing someone. I do not think it is noble or anything near easy. I dont WANT to kill anyone, but if it is something i HAVE to do to achieve the goal given to my , it is something i am able to do.

Eric paused shortly, he was still gasping for air, staring at the floor, he took a couple of deep breaths before continuing.

Like i said, i dont WANT to kill, i am here to join your ranks and help the Revolution. That is what i have come here to do. I want to join your ranks to help the cause. If that includes murder, then i shall do that, but it is not something i will take lightly. They say the first life taken is the hardest, and thats how i will treat any Murder, like something , that carries a heavy burden, something i will carry with me for the rest of my life.
