I do like that some of your players throw themselves into one of the more difficult roles in Discovery. I like the RP between myself and other SCRA players when it does happen, and I like the ensuing combat when it is evenly matched (pretty big conditional since one or the other side tends to be imbalanced).
Summarily: You have some good points. But, we all have our bad points which we need to work on - and make no mistake, you are not an exception to this.

I guess this is a BAF experience. Yes, we should roleplay more so you'll have enough time to hug a stationary BS and call for solaris battleships against a few SCRA VHF's.

A half hour banter with a BAF is suicidal.
I know full well how the BAF EC works, and we have been on the receiving end of the BAF gank one too many times.
I have also known your side to have some pretty poor RP as well.
I am sorry that you didn't get a novel prior to your destruction. If you want, I can recommend several, some of which I have written.
No where in the rules does it state that you are entitled to a half hour of RP banter. Nor will you get it.
A couple of minutes, maybe... depends on the circumstances.
However, don't come here with unrealistic expectations.
I am a Solid RP player, and I am not about to condone this suggestion, it's yet again another example of feedback with the purpose of manipulating a favourable circumstance for you.

Nowhere did I state I expect half hour RPs as the norm; I expressed contempt for those that choose to skirt the rule boundary in order to engage in PvP combat of which your faction seems to have a multitude.
