Otto stared at the woman being towed in, and as she was left there, on the ground, he crouched as much as he could, and then back up again, before looking the Russian in the eyes.

"I do not know of many names, Frau Sasha. But if this woman was but a civilian, or a fragile soldier whom beneath all cowardice managed to salvage enough discipline to save a Captain."

He stepped further.

"I would not hesitate."

[arvg]

Standing back by the door, where he had slipped in unannounced. Commissar Mendel, chief adviser to the Premier, and head of the Coalition's Public Relations department stood with his hands in the pockets of his suit. The all access cards dangling about his neck, as a vein throbbed in his temple.

"What is this?" Mendel demanded, tilting his head to the side so that everyone could see his eyes boiling in unadulated fury. "The bloody Coalition Comedy-bloody-hour?"

He drew a rather large .60 automatic, "You want a joke Rassid?" he challenged, shooting the recruit in the back of the kneecap, before shooting out the other.

"You have five seconds to start dancing Comrade Useless Git, failing that I am going to be quite creative in turning you into a bloody joke..."

"Five..." the recruit Eric whimpered and writhed in pain.

"Four..." Mendel sighted in the pistol.

"Three..." The recruit began to panic and despite his pain is began to struggle the macerana...

"Two..." Mendel stated, not really approving of Latin dance.

"One..." he seemed genuinely surprised that the crippled youth hadn't broken out into a rendition of swan lake.

He shot him cleanly through the skull.

"Now that's funny," Mendel remarked, reholstering his pistol and moving on.

He moved to the completed forms, flipping through them, nodding and shaking his head as he went. Pausing to pick up a large red pen from Alicia's desk and correcting one of the recruits work, tsking away as he did so.

"What is this, grade flipping school? Are there cameras, are you being paid to look deliberately stupider than a fifth grader?"

He pointed directly at Darren Lane with his pen. "You know what I had to do in Grade Five? I had to trudge down to the bread lines, and fight the other kids for a mouldy heel of bread that some idiot in the old administration said was all we had earned to eat... Pre-Katzism, pre-prosperity, and pre-New Economic Policy.... So you want to drag us all back into a Soviet style, MacIntosh run Communist state? Maybe you like the feeling of cardboard boxershorts because we have a cloth shortage? Or would you rather wipe that soft rear end of yours with Katz Manifesto because you obviously have no idea who the Coalition is." He slammed the paper into a roll and smacked the recruit upside the head with it. "You think beating your best friend to death for an egg is glorious? I'm going to give you a chance," he grabbed the youth by the shoulder and dragged him out of the recruitment office.

Pointing to the first orange suited mechanic he could spy he yelled, "You! Follow me!"

Dragging the both of them to an empty room he tossed Lane inside, throwing the rolled up questionaire in with him, and the pen... a few seconds later the bewildered mechanic flew through the door on the end of Commissar's heavy boot.

"You want to survive to see tonight, you're going to have to be the last man standing."

With that, Mendel slammed the door closed and activated the heavy bolts.

[Pyromaniac]

Darren was bewildered for a moment staring at the door, then at the pen, and then to the mechanic. The mechanic looked at him then back to the pen, then back at him. The mechanic dove for the pen.

Darren's eyes widened and there was a moment's hesitation then he dove for the pen too. Both of them collided and rolled to the floor sending the pen skittering away across the room. Darren tried to push himself back onto his feet to go after the pen but the mechanic grabbed a fistful of his hair and slammed his face into the ground.

There was a loud snap, and he guessed it was probably his nose. He ignored the pain pushing himself to his feet, the mechanic had the pen and was charging at him. He reacted too slowly and the mechanic buried the pen in his left shoulder. Darren cried in pain and swung wildly with his right fist.

He connected solidly with the mechanic's jaw causing the man to take a step back and release his grip on the pen which was still firmly lodged in Darren's shoulder. Darren wasted no time following up his first punch with a second. The mechanic, apparently expecting that, ducked the blow and slammed his own fist into Darren's face.

Darren grabbed the man's arms trying to throw him to the ground but the mechanic easily overpowered him sending Darren sprawling across the floor. The impact with the floor jammed the pen deeper causing another explosion of pain from his shoulder.

The mechanic was crouching over him and he raised a fist and slammed it into Darren's head again. He raised his hand to repeat the motion but Darren managed to move out of the way, the mechanic's hand slammed into the floor.

Darren used the opportunity to grab the man by the shoulders and roll him over. He pinned his arms with his knees and without a second thought he wrapped his hands around the mechanic's throat. The mechanic struggled to get free of Darren's grasp trying to pry his hands off but to no avail. The mechanic's lips began turning blue and Darren only tightened his grip blinking away the blood that was beginning to drip into his eyes.

The mechanic's movements grew more frantic for a moment as he struggled to escape Darren's grasp. Then finally his movements slowed as his face turned blue before altogether stopping. Darren kept a hold of the man's throat for a few minutes after that before it sank in that the man was dead. Slowly he released the mechanic and stood just staring at the mechanic not entirely sure what he was supposed to do next.

[Dane Summers]

Rassid stood next to the door, listening until the sounds of struggle finally ceased. When it did, he opened the door, finding Daren over the body of the dead mechanic.

He motioned him to his feet, then pointed at the waiting area.

"Wait here. Your fate will be decided soon."

[Lunaphase]

A tall woman walks into the recruiting center from one of the shuttle bays. Her name tag on her jumpsuit says "Dimitria", the markings on her sleeve indicating she is a mechanic from one of the transport bays.

Walking up to the desk she softly asks for an application from the woman at the desk; receiving one, she
sits down to begin filling out her information in one of the waiting chairs by the bulkhead.

Tanya Dimitria mutters softly to herself as she fills out the answers. "Age... twenty two... height.... six' two... eyes.. grey... hair... blonde... occupation, mechanic...". She slowly gets up when finished to turn in the application back to the desk, returning to her place once finished and waiting her turn, using the time to review one of her manuals on engines.

[Scaridae]

A man in his thirties wearing a civilian jumpsuit with the name Liam O’Mahony printed on the upper entered the recruiting room and immediately saw a woman about 6 foot give or take approximately 2 inches walking towards and then handing to someone sat behind a desk what appeared to be a group of papers. After the woman sat back down in her seat, Liam then walked over towards the desk located near the centre of the office.

After quickly asking for an application form, Liam picked up the pack and quickly sat down to fill out his application form. Subconsciously he started to answer the questions in his head while writing furiously down the answers to the question “Liam O’Mahony, 5 Foot 8, eyes are green and my previous affiliation; being a member the Molly movement”.

Afterwards he quickly and quietly as possible; not wishing to disturb the other person in the room who appeared to be engrossed in an engine manual, handed over the form and sat down in the same chair he filled out his application form in. He began to count the rivets in the wall surrounding him as a method to kill time.

The body of a huge Rheinlander was dragged by Liam, the star from the cap of a Commissariat cap stuck in his throat. Behind the soldiers and corpse, Sasha Kirov followed. Seeing Tanya, she walked over, spoke a few words, then had a marine escort her to the hanger. She kicked Darren to make sure he was alive, she said something about some files being lost and the wait would be good training, then yanked Liam by the scruff of his neck and dragged him into her office, throwing him into a bloodstained chair beside a wall splattered with gore. Taking her seat and kicking her feat up, Sasha reached into a drawer and drew a fresh star, attaching it to her cap. Sliding it back on, she eyed the Molly.

"What brings a Molly to the Coalition?"

Liam could smell the stench of blood as soon as he was dragged into the office, pausing for thought as not to risk saying something that would have left a bad impression or worse resulting in him being 6 foot under.

'€œWell, I used to be miner for the Bretonia Mining and Manufacturing, however I quickly grew in the knowledge of their so called management styles, suffice to say they are not much different from the likes of Edmund Graves. So I decided to do anything to bring down those tyrannical oppressors. I then met with a molly on Trafalgar and subsequently joined their ranks. However I began to see that while the Mollys do attack BMM, they also attack workers who do not have anything to do with BMM and thus innocent workers suffer. That is why I am here to fight for the oppressed, until the day comes when the oppressed overthrows the oppressor.'€

Hoping that answer wouldn'€™t result in a bullet to the head, he sat waiting for an indication from the stern faced woman opposite that he said something not to ignorant nor too foolish or that it was not the same drivel that is often stated in this room.

[Eduard]

A firm knock could be heard on the Recruitment Office's door followed by it's opening.A middle-aged woman soon entered the Office and presenting herself in front of the desk, standing firmly on both of her legs, ignoring the seat next to her ,knowing that she would only take a sit only if the person she addressed to offered her one, as proper manners indicate.She then addressed to the person by the other side of the desk, responsible for the recruiting:

,,Good day, sir!My name is Catalina Ibranovich.As you can tell by my name, that I am russian, but I, in fact come from the heart of Liberty, planet Manhattan."

Gazing in the person's eyes she continued, having a sentiment of ease:

,,I won't tire you with useless details of myself or my past unless you will ask me to do so, sir, I will tell you though, that I came here in order to join the Sirius Coalition Revolutionary Army.The reason for this decision I made and for my presence here today is that, when I was living in Liberty, a place which was thought to be suiting for every person's life, a place where the government cared for their people I saw that these traits, or symbols were only a facade, a mask hiding the corruption in side.I could only bare the way officials treated the population and the way they dispose of them at their free will just so they can be able to satisfy their own wishes.

Her voice's tone quickly changed as she was expressing disgust

,,But, Liberty is not the single House where it's leaders treat the population with misery and disdain, so is every other house, Bretonia, Kusari, Rheinland, or Gallia.And that is why, sir, I desire to join the ranks of the Coalition, as the Coalition fights for freedom, it fights for the rights, not the rights of a single man, but the rights of all, and this is a cause I gladly desire to follow even in my own grave"

She then ceased for a little, taking a deep breath, and then she continued her speech

,,I know how to offer First Treatment, as my father was a medic, and I am also skilled with a gun though I am not a skilled pilot as it's not long since I promoted the West Point Academy but I promise, sir, that if you will decide to accept me, I won't fail you, not a single time."

She then backed away a bit from the desk, holding her hands at her back, waiting patiently for the recruiter's answer...
