right now shooting bombers in a LF is rewarding. Before you spent ages biting their hull off, then some noob VHF jousts your target and whoops, full bots again :lol:

Anyway, regarding the original post. Dude. You really should get to know your figures first. Mafic with a Supernova doesn't have any greater firepower than Barghest or Waran. Such firepower is comparable with gunboats sporting primary turrets. Not with cruisers. Likewise, SHFs certainly don't have gunboat armor. As funny as it sounds, there isn't a big turn rate difference between Mafic and gunboats.

So yeah. Get your facts straight.

Facts on the Mafic:

Hull Strength: 27500 x 2.5 (armor) = 68,750
So the hull isn't quite as strong as a gunboat. I was wrong there.
Shields max out at 29,200 so your total is 97,950 total shields and hull.
With 250/250 sb's and nanos and a 2.5 armor multiplier you use 45-46 every time to regenerate the entire hull. That's five complete regens of the hull. For shields, you use 19-20 sbs to regenerate 30k shields. Which leads you to a total of 12.5 total regenerations of the shields. I think that is a little extreme.
Your right about the SNAC being as powerful as a forward gun on a gunboat, but it also does about a light mortars damage. Minus 18,000 hull damage and 9,000 hull damage. But the SNAC only uses 30,000 energy while the light mortar uses 1,000,000 energy. Or, if you want to put it into smaller turret form; its four cruiser battle razors at one time; or 9 cerberus cruiser turrets firing for 2 seconds.

And I admit that I have never flown the Mafic, but I have fought against it in a gunboat (Molly/Rogue) and the Mafic outmaneuvered me. Easily. So yes, there is quite a difference between the maneuverability of a Gunboat and the maneuverability of a Mafic.

the mafic will lose all of its hardware components before you kill the ship.

8 succesful mine hits on the hull (not hard to do) will destroy all guns on the ship. at that point the mafic is utterly defenseless

now heres a question: why does the spacial have 270/270 bots bats?

The Spatial has 270/270 so you can refill all your enemies when they pop you with a snac.

That sure is. Stop cheating with your shield batteries! :lol:
20 shield batteries * 300 = 6000 shield hit points. You're not going to fill even a VHF shield with that. Are we playing the same game here?

LOL. I really don't know what to say, in all honesty. Maybe check cruiser powerplants. Or come duel some cruiser I fly. You can select if I should instakill you with 2 cruiser battle razors or 1 light mortar. Little difference to me, really.

The Maffic and the Spatial remain the two greatest ships according to my personal taste.

Maffic is a super big awesome ship of turretty doom!

And then add some lovely mining bonus to it and you have awesomely goodness..

Funny fact - I gunned down a solaris Scylla down to 400 nanos before back-up arrived using a Corsair Eagle. Tizonas for the win!!!! D:<

Also, ye, the maffic has insane regens, but like many said - deal with it.
