One thing is I'd like to see the removal of redundant factions or ones that should have disbanded after the campaign. One I can think of in particular are the Blood Dragons, whose only real purpose was to rebel against the Nomad controlled Kusari state.

Next thing is I'd like to see wholly revamped faction shiplines. I for, one, find it odd how in 16 years they still only use the same old ships. I don't think the old ones should be removed; they can still stay but they'd be weaker but a lot cheaper than the newer variants. Not to mention the vanilla ship style in FreeLancer is pretty awful to begin with. If you guys ever decide for this, I can definitely help with modeling, as I'm not that bad of a modeler myself (examples 1 2)

Another thing, I think the old, weak fighters should be removed, such as the Valkyrie for instance, since after a player hits about level 20, there's no real use for it anymore. Getting rid of the old vanilla fighters (or getting rid of the completely up-statted identical fighters which replace them and use the exact same meshes and boosting the default fighters up to that level) would really save space for ship slots which in return allows for more room for expansion on ship lines.

This quote amuses me to no end.

Never heard of the Sakura coup? Trying to restore Hideyoshi dynasty? Fighting against nomads was a secondary thing at the least.

Please try not to talk about things you seem to not know much about. :rolleyes:

I'm not sure a dynamic economy is possible for FreeLancer, to be honest. It was one of the original developer goals they could not reach before release. I do very much agree with number 1, as it is, carriers are just water downed battleships with abysmal role playing importance as they can't do what they're made for, carry. Number two depends on its implementation.

I will admit, it has been a while since I've played vanilla FreeLancer, so thank you for correcting me on that.

Yyyea. Turret steering is something that is being worked on. Projected to make Gunboats especially lethal.

Now think what does engine kill and thruster applied in opposite direction do to the pilot aboard.

If I could point out that under engine kill you do gradually slow down. Its not really noticeable in fighters but in caps you do loose about 1 m/s every 10 seconds or so.

1) Buff traders. Being a helpless victim sucks. Being a helpless victim 3 times in 5 minutes sucks even more. I`m even ready to give up 50% of my cargo space for being able to actually fight pirates instead of paying/dying.
2) Buff damage on sunslayer torpedoes, especially shield damage. They have enough drawbacks already - time to give them some anti-gunboat power they are meant to have lore-wise.

There is NO problem that can`t be solved by the use of high explosives.

I totally agree with you there! I'd really like to see some more pirates emitting the satisfying "boom" sound, even if I had to decrease my cargo capacity (for a bigger power core, for example) :D

Well, they say you can do it with CAU7-CAU8... Bad news are you need 895 mil. to buy a CAU8.

There is NO problem that can`t be solved by the use of high explosives.
