Jien is desperate to put his country's economy in the tank, that's why. Especially in the case of Liberty, scuh embargos are more likely to damage Kusari.

Not much else to do, and in fact, it's a kinda perfect time to play around with this stuff, since we know we will have the RP basis to get rid of it come 486. One of the nice things about the kinda total political reboot Kusari is going to get. Gives us a fair amount of time to explore the rp in interesting ways before 486.
Looks like time to move some dreads up,and start blasting those ugly Kusari ships. Good to know. The rheinland front been pretty slow as of late. They must be running out of ships.
' Wrote:The amazing thing is that any major changes in the lore between the two Houses will be completely blitzed over by 4.86's changes anyway.
So if Kusari and Liberty signed an alliance or started blasting each other, or did anything inbetween, it'll mean nought. At this point in the development anyway.
Tis the curse of long development times in such circumstances, things go wonky.
This.
It makes this mod not dependent on events enough. People can do whatever they want, start war or something else... this will be 'forgotten' later. In newer version it will have no effect.

Not sure where you get that. Look at the how much oil effects world markets right now. Hfuel would have a comparable spot in the Sirius economy. You can have as many ships as you want and as many factories and industrial base as you want, without fuel, it's all meaningless.

People can't eat h-fuel, especially given the increasing reliance on synth paste.
Plus, when push comes to shove fuel alternatives can and will be found. Look at the substitutes the US came up with during WWII due to Japan's control of East Asia.

Actually synthpaste's sales in Kusari are declining. And fuel alternatives cost much more than a ready source, causing significant issues for cost/benefit analysis. Every house has it's weak spots, and if you can capitalize on them, there is no fun in the game. If you know Liberty is always going to win cause they have the biggest economy, or Gallia is always going to win because they have the biggest military, why are we playing?
Edit: You also forget that Kusari has the biggest food production company in all of Sirius in Samura.
Nope, basing it off of two things, the utter lack of Synthpaste shipments into Kusari, and the Kusari storyline for 4.86, which says that Synthpaste sales and supplies in Kusari are dropping due to the work of the Farmers Alliance and Samura, and that Synthfoods has basically given up on their Kusari operations.
