Greetings Operatives, I present you today the "Lost Relic", Cerberus deep space reconnaissance operation. As you may know, the ancient K'Vosh Empire left different ruins around Sirius. Our Subspace Digital Scanning Grid (SDSG) detected an unusual anomaly in the Barrier Nebulae in Coronado, Liberty Sector.

Your objectives:

- Bring Visual Telemetry Data regarding this anomaly.
- Aquire any valuable intel regarding of what you will find.

[color=#000000]OPERATION GHOST HUNT

This mission will consist in deep space reconnaissance into the Kansas system, Liberty Sector, more exactly : Turtle Creek Nebulae.

Objectives:
[color=#FF6600]- Find any trace of K'Hara activity in the sector.
- Retrieve vital data about the rumored ancient Hypergate.
- If possible reactivate the Hypergate using the installed artifact shard on your docking navicomputer.
- Send to Cerberus Command visual telemetry data.
- Survive

Intel:
- The rumored Hypergate creates a very unstable electromagnetic field around Turtle Creek Nebulae, jamming the ship's sensors. Possible K'Hara threats could appear.
- No data available regarding the system beyond the Hypergate.

I got very good news fo' ya'll. Operation Lost Relic has been successfully completed. So here I got a nice lil' report an' al da important data fo' ya.

[color=#FF6600]I started of course by gettin' da Arctica in space, I actually expected it ta be a rather borin' solo mission, bu' on my way ta da jumphole ta Alaska I met Secondary fleet Cdr. James Patterson. He decided ta tag a long, an' I found out he actually knew 'bout this anomaly. He had seen it 6 months ago when he was still in da navy, while I'll spare ya da details, the important things are da following: This thing was an alien jumpgate and the navy has had it bombarded with light mortars at that time, though it didn't matter much since it apparently is regenerating.

Anyway, we proceeded ta go ta Coronado and after some searching we found it. An impressive thing really, it's huge and... well... beautiful in my opinion. I took scans o' it of course, and all that ya can find at da end o' this report. However, there also's somethin' else tha's very notable, namely an ol' wreck o' a researcher. According ta Patterson they tried ta investigate it durin' da stuff with da navy, bu' due to radiation they were forced ta give up. Bu' nae this time. Da Arctica's hull is an impressive piece o' engineering an' we could get close wi' no problem.

[color=#FF6600]We first tried ta tow da ship, bu' da radiation caused trouble near da engine o' da vessel an' da Arctica's magnetic grapple da was supposed ta go there could nae get attached. So instead we decided ta board da ship. A small team composed o' Cdr. Patterson, da head o' ma' medical staff Dr. Bill Clarke an' ma' head technician Lola Pérez, entered da ship investigatin' what happened ta it, an' takin' some interesting salvage.

We dunnae know wha' exactly happened, bu' we suspect that da gate is damaged, seeing as it cannae be activated an' tha' some kinda power from da gate caused da death o' da researcher.

Because, in fact, we believe tha' all da damage ta da ship is caused by decay an' nae by some violent event. Da body o' da researcher was very interesting an' has led us ta think such as well. It was nae shot or suffered from any kind o' physical damage from outside. He had no wounds, bu' blood (now dried up o' course) had poured out o' his ears, eyes an' nose. Dr. Clarke has now determined tha' this was da cause o' death. Wha' caused this ta happen is a mystery an' we suspect da this again is caused by da gate somehow.

Unfortunately Patterson found da Black Box ta be a in a bad condition, though we took it wi' us nonetheless. Same goes fo' da memory core, Pérez reported tha' it had been largely corrupted by somethin' unknown, we suspect once again da it has ta do wi' da gate. Patterson still wanted tha' da core should be taken, even though we couldnae download any data from it. We've just salvaged da whole thing.

Afta' tha' the team left da ship an' we returned home.

Right so now here's what we all gathered fo' ya:
-Blood samples of the dead researcher
-Heavily damaged and decayed Black Box (note: very little chance of getting anything at all from it)
-Rusty, decayed, damaged and corrupted Memory Core (note: even smaller chance here)
-Several interesting looking artifacts
-Radiation scan results (note: some of it has been determined to be the result of the navy's light mortar bombardement)
