I know people who speak like that, and hearing them speak always makes me smile and puts me in a good mood.

The objective of that game is to have fun, remember?

Fun is fine. But when it takes you 5 minutes to figure out what they are saying, and they start shooting cause you can't understand them is a pain. Personally i have shot a few for this. I interpret it ingame as a nomad that has not fully taken control of it's victom, and shoot it before it finish's.
If cannot understand a person,it is not RP. It is abuse to PvP IMO. And abuse of the "must speak english" rule. Like Dab said. It takes time to figure out,and sounds like jibberish.

Because they very much overdo it. I hate walking into a post where every other word is an english word they have "Rheinland-ized". It's not Rheinland-ized... It's simply making it harder for everyone else to read while giving the idea that I'm talking to a mentally retarded Rheinlander rather than someone with an accent... People don't speak like that. Honestly, we've got plenty of German, Dutch, etc players on Skype. I have yet to hear a single one speak English like that. They don't zpeak like zis all zhe time.

This is just a method to keep german players out of Rheinland because they could not bear to read that. Rheinland is a good place for native speakers who just love to make fun of their own language.

Wait - what? Really? (o_O)

Everytime I zee zomeone trying to zpeak like zat ... argh ... it makes me wanna go *insert short but heroic pew pew combat vid* all the time to those who think every German/Rheinländer has an accent ... we DON'T!

And I think there should be a "Small guide to the language of Rheinland" as well ^_^

So true

Thanks, Enoch, this will really help everyone encountering a Gallic invasion force ^_^

I'm an Englishman. We invented English so that everyone could learn just one language and not have to bother about dozens of different jibber-jabber sounding foreign lingo's. Over the past two centuries we've got pretty close to our aim of making English the universal language. We do however have a plan B for dealing with those people who are just plain awkward and insist on hanging on to their local regional dialects - speak louder and louder until they understand and gesticulate a lot.

You may want to add Mon Ami/Mes amis as 'my friend/my friends'

Other than that, Merci, Mon ami. This crosses one step that might deter people from entering gallia.

A million dollars isn't cool. You know what is cool? A basilisk.

Yep, added, and a few other things.
Thanks for all the positive comments so far (and for the debate on German language.)

Don't overdo it is the best advice.

I'll never be able to remember all these words, so I'll just stick with my crude "bonjour"s and "au revoirs".
