Sanctions against me? Are you serious? Let'€™s see here, you address a message to the Junker Congress, not to Richard Van Pelt, but to the Junker Congress. I answer that message because I am the leader of the Junker Congress. All of your questions have been answered and there has yet to be any mention of a fine.

Then, after addressing the message to my people, YOU ask me to step out of the conversation and then tell me that I will be sanctioned because I am going to comply with that request. The only "offer to stop" was you asking me to bow out on the conversation so you can continuing beating up on my guys. Get real my dear.

Arbiter, I can't count the times when your attitude became an issue for a constructive dialogue between Junker Congress and Liberty authorities. You suggested me to chose you or no Congressman to cooperate with on the matter and I'd better chose none instead of your persona.

This message was directed to the whole Congress as the Congress - not to mention the other Junkers - is remarkably carefree regarding enlisting its ships and members operating in Liberty space to any of law-enforcement authorities.

In my last communique I merely enlisted the most drastic measures that may be taken in case the Junker Congress will act similarly to its Chief Arbiter. Your participation in the discussion wasn't necessary at all as mister van Pelt can speak for himself in a more civil manner.

The total amount of fine inflicted on Congressman Richard van Pelt is 2,000,000 Sirius Credits to be transferred to accounting dept. [LN]-Armory.001 in a period of 48 hours. I can't believe that you created such a fuss over an incident of that level.

It doesn't change the fact that you are indeed the main obstacle in the way of cooperation with Junker Congress, Arbiter, and this is already far beyond the 'protectiveness' and appears to be a specious attempt to oppose the nonexistent oppression.

Therefore I'd prefer to have a personal talk to van Pelt in the nearby future.

I assume the point regarding the ships in Congress's fleet was clear since the very beginning.

Let me see if I understand this correctly. It sounds like you are telling me that I should not be speaking on behalf of the organization that I lead, if someone addresses a message to that organization that I should not answer it. Is that in fact what you are saying? Or maybe you just don'€™t want to talk to me. Maybe you'€™d just rather bully my people while I stay out of this. That'€™s not going to happen.

Now, two million credits. I suppose this is a reasonable amount even though he was flying a harmless ship built in a Junker shipyard for perfectly lawful purposes. I know, I know, you are not a legislator and therefore not qualified to answer that question. You do not need to tell me that again. Do not worry, I will not burden you with this anymore. I will take up the bigger issues with those fit to deal wit them. I only hope Admiral Hale will remember it is you who started this little discussion and not me.

Oh, and the fine has been paid by the way and this channel is now closed.

It's interesting what sorts of things show up in my neuralnet inbox. This is a rather awkward situation, though I am sure the Libertonian government, in their vast wisdom, will see that certain ships may, in fact, look similar on scanners to others to untrained eyes while being quite distinct and add clarification to such things in their laws. They are, after all, quite smart. If Rheinland can notice such differences, surely Liberty can - right Lieutentant?

But Arbiter, clearly the issue is that you are discussing this matter with a low level officer, not someone who can either make the laws (as was said) or even make real decisions. As I said, I'm sure those who make the ultimate decision on important matters will see things logically.

Mister Thompson, I don't need to be a member of high-command structure to point you at the governmental offices maintaining the licensing and certification. This is a complex procedure ran by the interdepartmental committees which are not subordinate to Liberty Navy. The said XK243 based on the "Pirate Train" wireframe is currently categorized as its predecessor and therefore considered an illegal ship in Liberty.

There is nothing you may expect from the Liberty Navy on the matter.

Hey Rog, what I think she'€™s trying to say is that Liberty'€™s scanning and vehicle classification system is inferior to what is being used in every other house in Liberty. I guess we'€™re just going to have to live with that for now.

Nah, that can't be, Crow. I mean, Liberty is decidedly technically advanced. Look at all the fancy gates and lanes they've built. One hasn't even exploded in a while.

But I don't see Bretonia or Rheinland building such things, and if they can manage to build an effective system to differentiate ships, clearly a House of such science like Liberty, to which I am proud to be a citizen of, could build an even better one, right?

Of course, if that is the case, then it makes me wonder what's going on here? Is it bureaucracy in action? Surely it can't be user error - after all, we are dealing with highly trained individuals here, who would never make a mistake or anything of the sort.
