[font=Tahoma]Izumi was lying in her bed. Her stitches were hurting a bit. Considering how close she was to death it was actually pretty good. While watching the ceiling and from time to time looking at closed doors she was thinking about what happened in past few days.

Eternity died. She will rise like a phoenix but it will not be the old Eternity. She will be like a kid now. Without scars of past but also experiences. For Izumi it was like loosing her friend.

She looked out of window. There were some people lying in the grass and relaxing. They seemed to be happy...

Then there was Jean. She wrote him a letter today. It wasn't even received. She saved his life yesterday and almost died while doing so and he doesn't care about her.

Izumi looked at the doors again.

Izumi heard voices coming from the corridor. A well known voice was saying "So hon', you don't have any girlfriend...? That's strange"

A young girl entered in the room, followed by a medic.
The medic was young and he was blushing, probably mainly because that girl decided for some unknown reason to wear a very short skirt on that shiny day.

She smiled at Izumi and almost jumped on the bed, realizing a bit late she could hurt the person lying on it.
"Ooops! Sorry..." She laughed and looked at Izumi while the medic was trying to get back his composure.

"Hey... I came to see how you were doing, love" She then smiled mishievously "Ohh, and i also talked with that boy a bit..." She made a vague sign towards the medic "He is quite funny!"

"So... How are you, Izumi...?" She thought a bit "They treat you well here i hope... Right?"
The girl turned around and looked at the medic "You are massaging her? Seeing her face i can see she needs it!"
She laughed and stopped to talk during a few seconds, maybe allowing Izumi to get a word in edgewise...

[font=Tahoma]She chuckled seeing Connie teasing the young doctor. Poor beggar, Izumi thought.

"Connie! I feel better honey. Without you I wouldn't feel anything right now." smiling at her.
[color=#FF6600]"I am being caressed like a small baby." says and chuckles

But her face changes back accordingly to her previous mood.

"I've sent a letter to Jean today..."

Concordia tilted her head, wondering "Oh you did?"

"Hmmm, hmmmhmmm..."
"What did you write, honey...?"

She then beamed "Ah! More importantly... What did he say then?!"

The girl giggled and said quickly
"Oh no! Don't tell me! Let me guess... Hmmm...?"

She made her funny face and imitated Jean's voice
"I'm all yours baby... Oh yeah. I hope you feel well enough for... You know..." She bursted laughing but then noticed Izumi's expression.
She looked at her with a concerned face "Don't tell me..."

"Don't tell me he was stupid enough to tell you he didn't care or something silly like that..."

She took her hand and carressed it softly with her thumb, looking straight in her eyes...

[font=Tahoma]Izumi looked back mirroring her own pain in Connie's eyes.

"I wrote him:"

Izumi turned her look outside of the window back to the garden.

[color=#FF6600]"The letter returned before you came."

She points to the wet letter on the shelf.

Tears started dropping from Izumi's eyes. Even if she tried not to cry.

"I was told that comrade Jean Gidardet is dead."

The girl got on her feet and grabbed the letter. She took a quick look at it then looked back at Izumi, making a sorry face.
"Hell what?" She dropped the letter, letting it fall on the ground.

"Ohh... Love, i'm so sorry!" She leant forward and took Izumi in her arms.
On the other side of the room, the medic pretended to not listen and to work on some medical devices.

Concordia leant back after a while and smiled painfully at her. She wondered "Uhhh... Would that be some kind of cover... Or something..."

She then shrugged "Ohhh... i really find it hard to believe..."
Looking at her face, she decided to change the subject of the conversation "Anyway.." She smiled timidly "How many handsome boys did you notice in the hospital already?"

"Maybe some boys of... you know... the enclave is it? came to see if you were okay?"

[font=Tahoma]Her tears fell on Connie's clothes as she hugged her back.
"But...But.. he would tell, wouldn't he?! Why would he just let me think he is dead? He knows I love him and he loves me too!"

Threwing a quick look at medic pretending being busy she said:
[color=#FF6600]"Lyra promised me, she will come to visit. I think you haven't met her yet. She is very nice and special. But I think she will tell you herself.
Izumi smiled at Lyra standing in the doors.

Still holding door knob in her hand as she was just walking in. Today she was in her robes, probably for the first time.

Lyra briefly examined the room and noticed the medic whose expresion was very hard to describe. Obviously, he had a mixed feeling about another woman entering the room.

Walking to the other side on Izumi's bed, seeing that the other side is "ocupied" my Concordia, Lyra took out something looking like a sheet of transparent silk cloth.

[font=Garamond][color=#993399]I thought that you will need some entertainment so i brough this and... Well...

She looked out of window. Spending most of her time in a fighter spacecraft, big open spaces was something Lyra was not acustomed to.
Taking a step back Lyra, without a word, looked back at Izumi and smiled.

"Honey you look awesome today! Thank you that you came to see me. It is so boring here." says and sighs and then takes the silk from her.

[color=#FF6600]"Oh that's cute from you darling. What is it?"

She touched the soft silk and looked at the medic in corner and almost burst out laughing. Izumi was thinking if she ever saw anyone more nervous.

Concordia turned around to look at Lyra.
She waved at her and then put one finger on her lips, thinking intensely.

"Uhoh... Lyra? Hmmm? Where did i hear that name..."

The girl suddenly googled and made a somewhat afraid face "You are... You are that ghost's sister...?"
She hid under Izumi's bed "Uhhh... She is a ghost too...?"

Concordia took her courage in both hands after a few seconds and walked slowly towards her. She planted herself in front of Lyra and studied her. "Hmm?" She then touched Lyra's nose with her finger twice.

"Oh...?" Turning around she looked at Izumi, a bit confused. "She's your friend... Not a ghost... Right?"
