I can't recall if we've had an annual thread like this is in the past, but it seems to me that we should.

It's almost Spring in the Northern Hemisphere and, among other things, that means the time is approaching for graduations, and possibly admissions. Post your impending graduation, and what your next plans are. If you've heard results of your admission applications for the next step in your education, post these also. Internships, job offers, or enviable paid trips to the Riviera on dad's tab are also good candidates.

For myself, after many years of deep thought, and the past year of academic preparation, I've learned that I've been accepted into a Master's Degree program in history at the University of South Florida, which, ironically enough, is in West Central Florida, not South Florida. In either case, it's fifteen minutes from my house. After completion, I intend to pursue a Doctorate in history and go on to teach spoiled college students about what life was really like shortly after the earth cooled to a habitable level in the 1970's. You know, the 1970's was when Disco was born, as this recently discovered archeological evidence demonstrates.

So, other than writing your last will and testament before the impending apocalypse next year, what are you doing to change the educational content between your ears and the financial contents between the folds of your wallet?

I start a new job on the 21st at Goodrich Aerospace. While it may not be the most glamorous position to start in building fuel transmitters for Airbus jets, I will finally get to finish my Aeronautical Science degree or Mechanical Engineering, whichever I choose to do, if not both.

Yes, re-building one's professional career after a heavy downfall isn't easy but the end results may well be worth it.

I'm thinking of selling up and travelling the world for an indeterminate amount of time. If my wife agrees to it..........

Coding my ass off on a Computer Science degree then claiming world domination in whatever market I decide to enter (already had an internship at Citrix), or research into the next big thing in Computing.

You will never go in to space.
FACT: Space does not exist.
Spheres that insist on going into space are inferior to ones that don't.

Hopefully scoring myself a First in my second year of Uni. (Or 70%+ for you yanks)
If all goes well, it'll earn me a place in a Masters programme in Chemical Engineering in Queens University Belfast.
If all does not go well.
Oh.
Well.
Bugger.
