Nothing quite like taking three Birds of Prey up against the Excalibur.

It wasn't a bad game, but not one of my favorites. My biggest issue with the storyline was that your character rarely got to talk to the commanders of the other ships. You first officer always did all the talking. That got so annoying that I started wishing they had included a 'punch first officer' command.

The pewpew scenarios are really fun, the possibilities for scenarios are practically limitless. One of my favorites is about 20 or so shuttles (yourself included) against a cardassian starbase. The results are frickin' scary.

Yay, STBC was awesome, the storymode however wasn't that great, but the multiplayer rocked.

That.
Stealth, all power to the engines to outmanoever a Sovereign by keeping behind it outside of laser-firearcs.

Hehe, and doing a partner with a Bird of prey, each attacking seperately and almost at the same time, one before the other so it's targeted when the other is attacking.

*dreams back*

I remember our first Sovereign kill, me and my buddy.

"The Empire does not tolerate your kind in it's space!"

Man, I remember doing some online battles too. Always loved using the Rhode Island or the Intrepid. (KM mod) But for vanilla, Bird of Prey all the way! The stargate mod for it was fun too. Always tried to see how many sovereigns I could take on with a single ancient warship. Usually got up to 10 sovs, then it started getting too laggy.

I bought that game both being a huge Trekky and for the review from a friend that it would be a whole new dimension in video games. I was disappointed by the campaign but did enjoy what little pvp I did get in. There wasn't a huge community for it at the time so I removed it.

Well, if there is a good community for it now, I could be persuaded to re-install it.
Mods? Let me know of them.

BTW....Klingons rule!

There seemed to be about two years ago, but I think it was in decline.
