WOW! I find this freaking funny as hell. Who cares what anybody thinks of the name change. Their is no rule stating a cap has to have any tag at all. MNS? so what people put that with cap ships. It is not a rule,or requirement what so ever. Had same Issue in Liberty cause my Dread is just Yorktown. At last count over 20 people including [LN] and =LSF= players,and LNS players have tried to get me FR5's,and sanctioned. Guess what? nothing. Their is no rule,just a bunch of high and mighty's that think a cap should be labled.
Let them choose what ever name they want. THAT IS THE RULE! after all.

The CNS tag has not been approved by the Corsair Elders. In fact, we don't like it, as it goes against Corsair RP to have a "navy".

No. Official factions have put in lots of time, credits, effort and whatnot into forwarding their faction's RP.
They have been rewarded by the Admin team with Official status as such, making them protectors of their faction's RP.
They are the faction's government, both in and out of RP.
Their word is basically law, within specific boundaries.
Dennis Jameson is the head of the Maltese Nation, and not listening to him is basically OORP on a massive scale.
That being said, i like OMF better.

I see 4 capital ships with OMF tag and they say they are the Main fleet so automaticly I assume that the MNS' should become OMF since. Further more it is used as a faction tag no a ship designation such as let's say the RMS-Titanic as a real world example RMS is certanly not a faction...You could have your MNS designation and still put whatever you NOT-confusing name you want like the XTF did with their capital or as we in 13th did with one gunboat
Also, tell the Corse they shouldn't let SCRA stroll through Alpha and take their claim of being part of a "Historical Preservation Society" at face value:)

WOW! thats a joke right? No Official factions do not control RP. They do not control who has what ships,they do not control names,or landing rights. They control crap all unless a player veers from Vanila RP,or breaks a rule. I am putting my Outcast in Alpha,and will screen and report any who THINK they are above the rules. Go ahead and try to order Indies around. I DARE YOU!!!
