I was in a game of supreme commander with my friends. I had a single strategic missile in my arsenal and was looking for a place to use it. Luckily for me some fool had his commander in the middle of some volatile (low health and explodes on death) resource generators. I fired my mighty missile from it's submarine home and watched it strike the fool. It was then that I realised that the commander that I had destroyed was my own.

Game Over.

To be fair my options were
1. Win in short order
2. Take a while to win
3. Nuke my own base

Number three was the best option

It seemed a good idea at the time. In hindsight the fact that I enjoyed my self-destruction more than my previous victory shows that.
