But. Rock + Rock =/= Life. Even if you changed it up a bit and did Rock + Gas. That still =/= Life.:P
Rock = Matter
Matter = Energy
Rock + Energy = Life
=> Rock + Rock = Life
A bit oversimplified for the dogmatically oriented mind, but the principle still holds.
Wide awake in a world that sleeps, enduring thoughts, enduring scenes. The knowledge of what is yet to come.

I'm not religious but I do recognize that science and religion can co-exist just fine. Problems arise from individual perceptions of both since most people aren't educated enough in either subject to draw clear and precise conclusions.
Everything is subject to reliable information. We like to think we've got everything right but by the information we've obtained thats calibrated to our little rock as compared to what is measurable in the universe. Chances are we're wrong about most things.
How is Richard Dawkins an ass? I do not understand, a visible person who strives to back all claims up by empirical evidence that can be reproduced in an experiment is to me something to be overjoyed with. Frankly, he's doing good on his battle against wilful ignorance. Reverting to mysticism/spiritualism because "science does not explain everything yet" is a silly reason.
Physics has changed (several times) since 2009 (when the video was made). New particles and molecules have been found. It is theoretical physics, chances are it will change (or has already?).
