This is not a wall of text, and this is not a rant. This is simply an observation;
Every last limitation that has ever been placed on player factions in order to prevent bad gameplay experiences simply provides opportunity for more bad gameplay experiences to come about, seeing as they prevent the only authority which can quickly and efficiently deal with such experiences unable to do so.

It's stupid.
No player should have any more right over another than one that has just started playing for the first time.
It's preferable to have an official faction player be ignored as a worst case scenario than it is to have an indie be forced around to do arbitrary and un-fun things by an abusive official faction player as a worst case scenario.

Twispy has complained before that the rank and file of official factions don't have the power to order indies around, I'm guessing this is a continuation of that.
