Thank you very much for this information. Police are able to tell traders to avoid a specific zone in advance!

One little note, you see that number in square brackets after the person's name. In the example above LPI-John.Brown has [$108] at the end. If you type /showscan$ 108, it will do the same thing as /showscan LPI-John.Brown.

Nice. This will bring a much needed perk to the police factions. This could spell disaster for silly smugglers that use the lanes...

I wonder if TLAGSNET information will be admissible in the house courts? If so, BPA|Central.Command could be an interesting addition to the police force. Simply process scan information on a continous basis and feed a hunting party targets. "Right BHG Red Five, we have a confirmed smuggler in New London, grid 5E heading south. He now has 2 M on his head as of 30 seconds ago. Good hunting!

I don't see why not. And it'd make for some VERY interesting Roleplay. I say go for it.

Cannon, one suggestion I have would be to somehow split up the scan dump so it's easier to read. Perhaps as simple as putting | delimiters between weapons, equipment, ammo, and cargo. As it is it's kind of hard to pick out what I'm looking for in all of that text.

But definitely, very useful feature, police factions just became relevant again!

This just seems like a good way to metagame.

It's not metagaming.

In-RP, tradelanes have the ability to scan ships that pass through them. It's not unrealistic to have that information available to local law enforcement.

It only works in proximity of Tradelanes, for both the scanner and the scanned.
