I know everyone sees the RPC as a nerfed Vidar. But I know a few people (very few) that disagree. They see the RPC as a lighter version of the Vidar, instead.
Now, my question. I've only used the RPC in OSP, and for around 5 minutes. I couldn't really check how effective it is.
So...is it smaller and faster than the Vidar? I mean, enough to justify the lower hull, core and number of turrets? If it isn't yet, will it be re-balanced with the new version of the mode?
Now everyone is buying Vidars, because of the awesome model Luis made. Used to have one myself, but it's just too large and slow for me...although it pawns in cruiser duels...

100 Points. The energy and the armor is okay. Weapons perfect 360 degree for each weapon. 9 Turrets backward and forward. 8 to the sides. CD can fire backward and forward. Perfect to make Corsairs Q_Q if the try to catch your Pirate Cruiser.
It takes a certain knack to fly that thing in combat against other cruisers.
Your first lesson is that it cannot just stand infront of any of them and win (or at least non in it's general area of operations).
I myself have fought and won against Rheinland cruisers and Liberty Siege cruisers and countless gunboats from both Houses and BH (although one pair of BH gunships did flatten me :$).
It's a nice feeling taking something like those in what is seen as an inferior ship.
It can also be used as a support base for other ships but obviously, you need 'other' ships.
It is smaller, easier to fly, dodges snacs beautifully and really works well to support a vidar in general rapage. An RPC Vidar combo can easily kill any ship in the game if flown right while fighting off snubs.
I have 2 vidars and a RPC. In a mass fight, I'll pick the RPC any day because it is not looked as a killing machine gives me a chance to really do some damage before they realize what it can do.
It is not really a weak Vidar, but a totally different machine altogether. They just look similar.
