Formation fly is like a "Deathwish"

well could it be changed that in the formation fly you take collisions and contact damage.

With a transporter you lose 100 Nanos from one base to the next one.. that is a big ****.

Easy, don't fly in formation with big ships.

You'll find that it's even more fun to fly in that way. Just get in formation when the leader is jumping on the lane.

No.

Freelancer was originally developed for ships up to freighter sizes, formation flight was perfectly designed to accommodate up to freigthers. Since we have ships bigger than freighters in Discovery but we're still using the old formation system, bad things happen.

If you don't like formation flight, simply don't use it.

I see no sense here. Is there some kind of rules in your faction like: "use formation. If not... YOU'LL BE KICKED". Flying without formation is even more funny (and safer).
