I believe such thing should also pass through the desk of the dev team. The change of the ownership of a planet isn't something "small" and surely affects the current status quo.
It is only possible to accomplish a owner change of a base/planet by a new mod version, so either way it would need to go through the dev team. That said I find it unlikely that the planet will ever be agreed to be relinquished by players OORP (other incidents similar to this setting precedent), unless the change is forced through by the dev team itself, which we quite frankly wouldn't like. So in the interest of preventing an OORP feud I think we can agree that we won't be pushing for dev intervention unless the lawful Kusari players are in complete agreement with us.

Try heading in the LR guard system. Those snubs have a non-standard Samael blaster that does well over 3000 DPS - and 7 of them on each craft I believe. Making snubs hurt you is a matter of adjusting their attack routines and weaponry. Problem is - then you run into situations where a NPC lane ambush can easily take out a small transport.
But, nice to see the GMG pull a Georgy Willy Bush - activity and popularity low? Start a war!

The Council's stance towards this issue is pretty much "why would we surrender a planet to a gang of miners?"
Exaggerating on the GMGs numbers, but compared to Kusari, well you get the idea.

That 'gang of miners' was actually very capable of fighting off the Rheinland Military in it's full force.
And Kusari can't bring the numbers Rheinland could, not even close, because they have a war on the other side.
They'll also have another war soon, it seems, with Gallia.
So, how do you think Kusari can fight of a 'gang of miners' two systems away from their border, for some 'not very lucrative' planet.
Not to mention the GMG pilots have some of the best training.
They wouldn't be able to stay the biggest fuel supplier if they were a gang.
The way it looks to me, GMG is actually in much more favorable position then the Kusari, or Samura for that matter.

All very good points but there are some major differences between the Rheinland offensive and a war with Kusari.
No point in arguing over who could and who couldn't win. Everyone will have different opinions on it. Just enjoy the role play the GMG have created. I know its been an entertaining line to keep up with for me.

So kudos Prowler and minions.
Agreed, the gmg have brought a new spark of life to the Sigmas and we all have to be happy about that.
Kudos.
