I would suggest you get yourself a Kusari Destroyer. It is extremely small and maneuverable, and quite heavily armed; I have never lost a fair fight with mine.

Id recomend the lib GB as well...or the kusarie one

You should definitely use a Liberty ship if you're flying as a Liberty explorer.
I would suggest the Avenger, the Liberty Gunboat or the upcoming Liberty Bomber or maybe a Bounty Hunter ship as a mercenary that's been hired to explore for Liberty.
OOOH! What's that one GMG exploration ship? The one with like, eight engines and a big plate on the side? THATS MY FAVORITE!
Anywho, keep in mind that when you purchase a "Spaceship Crew"... That it is implied that it is ONE crew, not 1 crew member. It bugs me seeing people fly about with 100 Crew people in their hold.
For an uber big ship, you might need more than one average sized crew though... Like on a Brett. BS.
Id say the Somtaaw Super Heavy Fighter. 2 Level 10s, 5 level 5 turrets, and has 30000 armor. And it uses Elite shield class (heavy fighter for anyone who doesnt pay attention:rolleyes:) that and it can store a LOT of batteries and bots.
While being quite funny, your sig was the biggest one i've ever seen so far. No more than 700x250 please. ~utrack http://pastebin.com/SYQXBufs
Okay. Took a new look at both the Lib GB and the Kusari Destroyer. For the mission I'm running I do believe the Gunboat is the most appropriate.
The captain has been hired. The funds have been issued for commissioning the vessel. DSV-Dauntless is due for a maiden voyage after all the proper paperwork and crew assembly (gotta get my Lib Navy ID).
I'll start a character journal for the captain. This should be loads of fun! Thanks for the help everyone!

No. Yes. Is there a correct answer?
Quote:So... One prisoner takes up the same room as 1 ton of cargo? And if that was the case, all those tiny little light fighters with 20+ cargo space would need to be a LOT bigger than they are... Not to mention the VHFs with 60+...
Yeah you're right, because FL is so detailed that all of those factors can be taken into account... /sarcasm;)
a) you shouldn't be putting people in your light fighter's cargo bay.
b) a person -might- take up the same amount of space given the fact that a person needs a small stateroom for the trip.
c) Cargo bays would need to consider both weight and volume, it's not like FL can differentiate.
d) an F-15, which must remain -airborn- as opposed to just pushing mass in space, carries 20 tons aloft, probably a space fighter could exceed that?
e) does it really matter?:D

to subjugate the enemy's army without doing battle is the highest of excellence."

The Spatial, hehe... Ooooh, I hate that thing! Like a giant target slowly floating around in space.

Ah! Good point! I hadn't looked at it that way. That sure saves on the cargo space.
id third the option for the lib gb. excellent for taking on fighters and caps, decent maneuverability and can withstand a guard system pretty neatly, unless it be vespucci:P
